Intervention approaches for pupils in primary school with specific learning disabilities

The thesis deals with the definition of intervention provided to pupils with specific learning disabilities in primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the most frequent specific learning disabilities, the characteristics of the younger school age and intervention approaches in primary schools for pupils with specific learning disabilities. The last chapter of the thesis is also the research part, focusing on gathering information regarding intervention for pupils with specific learning needs, their progress within the educational process and information sharing among teachers in the selected primary school. Distance education for children with special education needs from the perspective of teachers

The thesis analyses the methods and forms of education during and since distance learning for pupils with special educational needs in inclusive primary schools. The theoretical part defines the system of education of pupils with special educational needs in the Czech Republic. It describes the specifics of education of pupils with special educational needs in different types of disadvantages and defines distance education in general, including the implementation of digital technologies. A questionnaire was chosen as the method for data collection. On the basis of the existing information and unstructured interviews with teachers, a questionnaire for teachers and school special educators of primary schools was designed. The questionnaires were distributed in three regions of the Czech Republic. The research survey answered questions on distance education of pupils with special educational needs and on methods used since distance education based on the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results and analysis of the questionnaire survey, appropriate methods and programs for education of pupils with special needs and both face-to-face and distance education were proposed. A child with cochlear implant: Parents experience with the cochlear implantation

The central part of this thesis will focus on the process of cochlear implantation in several cases of children, exploring their parents' experiences of receiving specialist care before and after implantation and providing their personal perspectives on implantation. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to give a brief overview of the development of a child with severe hearing impairment and to describe the role of the family, including the acceptance of hearing impairment. A significant part of the theoretical part will be devoted to the process of cochlear implantation in children and outlining the professional and speech therapy intervention. The aim of the practical part of the thesis will be to discover the parents' experiences with the process of cochlear implantation in their children, their cooperation with professionals, from the beginning of the diagnosis process, through the setting of the implant to its use in everyday life. Supporting self-care skills in children with autism spectrum disorder through applied behavioral analysis methods

The thesis deals with the problem of learning self-care skills in children with autism spectrum disorder through the methods of applied behavior analysis. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the legislative framework of education in the Czech Republic with a focus on special education counselling and the provision of support measures in education. Furthermore, autism spectrum disorders are characterized and the basic theoretical foundations of applied behavior analysis are defined. The empirical part of the thesis is divided into two parts, the first of which aims to present the theoretical foundations of the problem of toilet training, developed mainly from foreign literature, as well as foreign studies conducted on the topic. The second part of the empirical part of the thesis contains a case study of two children with autism spectrum disorder. It is especially aimed on the specifics of distance education for pupils with specific educational needs. This topic is examined from the perspective of elementary school teachers and parents of students with specific educational needs. The theoretical basis of the thesis consists in the description of the system of education of pupils with SEN in the Czech Republic, in the specifics of the personality of pupils with SEN and in the theoretical system of distance education in primary school. Perception of distance learning from the perspective of teachers to student with special educational needs in primary education

The aim of the diploma thesis and research project is to find out the pitfalls and positives of distance education in realiton to pupils with special educational needs in mainstream schools from the point of view of teachers. The work responds to the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, when education was forced to introduce nationwide distance education. In the theoretical part, the work deals with pupils with special educational needs and legislation, counseling system and inclusive education belonging to them. Furthermore, the factors influencing the educational process of pupil with SEN are defined, with and emphasis on the framework educational program of basic education, support measures, teaching assistants and methods and forms of work with these pupils. The last chapter is devoted to distance education, where the elements of distance education, the conducted research and the cooperation of all actors involved in education during the pandemic are described. Analysis of sibling relationships/ relationships of siblings and siblings with disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sibling relationships in families with intact siblings and siblings with disabilities. It is divided into a theoretical part, which is chapters one to three, and a practical part, which is the fourth chapter. The content of the theoretical part describes the family, parents and siblings. The practical part consists of research, the aim of which is to analyze relationships in the family with a focus on tense situations in the family. A qualitative survey method was chosen for the research and an interview was chosen as the data collection method. Three respondents from the ranks of parents and six respondents from the ranks of siblings were included in the research sample. Part of the empirical part is the analysis of collected data, subsequent evaluation and interpretation. The last part is the conclusion and recommendations according to the data obtained. The topic of this diploma thesis is the position of teaching assistant at elementary school during distance learning through the covid-19 pandemic. The thesis is describing the role of a teaching assistant in distance learning at pupils with special educational needs at elementary school. The aim of the thesis is a research project which is focusing on the position of teaching assistant for pupils with special educational needs during distance learning. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists three main chapters. In the first chapter is describing support pupils with special educational needs in education. This chapter is also focused on legislation and inclusive support, advisory services, support measures and options of education and pupils with special educational needs.
