Development of RAPS systém
Svoboda, Luboš ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The project considers realization system, which will allow us to test six different operation modes on lifetime accumulators. The system will link to computer, which will execute measurement current and tension and switch betwencharging and discharging modes. The measured values will record in someone time intervals in to computer memory. After someone time will analise these measured valuer and will provide optional operation mode.
Influence of glass fibers as negative electrode additives on properties of the lead accumulator
Cvaniga, Tomáš ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Main topic of bachelor project is studing effects of glass fibers as additives on the properties of the negative electrode lead-acid battery for hybrid electric vehicles. Purpose of bachelor work is to examine how to increase battery life due to glass fibers. In theoretical part of work is explained the activity of both types of lead-acid batteries, battery with flooded system and battery with hermetic system. There are processed other types of batteries. There is devoted space to the chemical process that take place during the battery operation. Accumulators operate in PSoC and there are explained some possible problems during the life of battery, which can lead to lose the charging ability. In this issue there are known concepts as PLC1, PLC2 and PLC3. There are processed some graphs in practical part, that show activity in the battery DoD mode, PSoC mode and formation process. There is an aim to study how the capacity changes after PSoC I and PSoC II mode.
Measurement of greenhouse gas concentrations
Dohnal, Jan ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the greenhouse effect, various gases and methods of measurement. On the greenhouse effect is viewed from its historical dating, despite changes in atmospheric composition and reactions of individual institutions. It contains a theoretical analysis of the individual gases. It focuses on the most harmful greenhouse gases such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, ozone, chlorofluorocarbons and halons. Analysis methods for detection of gaseous substances. Part of this work is focus on the detection of nitrogen dioxide and chloro-fluorocarbon. The data is processed using a microcontroller and then sent to an Internet server thingspeak.com. If the device proves successful, will be used as a laboratory exercise in the course Ecology in electronics.
Using lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime
Klojda, Viktor ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on utilization of maintenance-free lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime. It describes paralel and serial draft of hybrid vehicles, their function, advantages and disadvantages. It compares lead-acid accumulators with other sorts of primary, secondary and fuel cells. Purpose of this thesis is to improve the lifetime of lead-acid batteries in PSOC regime and accompanying addition use, as an activ material of negative electrode.

Analysis methods for detection of gaseous substances. Part of this work is focus on the detection of nitrogen dioxide, chloro-fluorocarbon and methane. The data is processed using a ATmega’s microcontroller and then sent to an Internet server thingspeak.com. If the device proves successful, will be used as a laboratory exercise in the course Ecology in electronics.
Investigation of carbon effect in negative active mass on lead-acid accumulator for HEV.
Tonar, Karel ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The lead-acid bateries for hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) working under high-rate partial-state-of-charge (HRPSoC) conditions. The negative plates of lead-acid batteries have low charge acceptance. The cycle life of the batteries is dependent on the rate accumulation of PbSO4 on the negative plates. Addition of some carbon or graphite forms to the negative paste mix improves the charge efficieny and slows down sulfation of the negative plates. The master’s thesis wants to explain the contribution of electrochemically active carbon (EAC) additives to the mechanis of the electrochemical reaction of charge of the negative plates.

Influence of pressure and additives on cycle life of lead acid battery for hybrid electric vehicle
Přívozník, Tomáš ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with lead acid battery in hybrid electric vehicles which operating at mode of partial state of charge (PSoC). In this mode, there is often a negative electrode degradation mostly due to irreversible mechanism of suphation. The idea of this work is detect ideal value of mechanical pressure exerted on active mass of negative electrode in combination with additives to prevent mechanism of sulphation and lead to increased cycle life of lead acid battery.
The effect of pressure on the electrode system in lead acid batteries with experimental electrodes
Zabloudil, Ondřej ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the issue of lead-acid batteries, which are used in hybrid electric vehicles. The lead-acid batteries works in mode PSoC. In this mode occurs to degradation mechanisms at negative electrodes. These degradation mechanisms reduce the battery life. The practical part of Master’s thesis describes the production and a compilation of experimental cells and experimental part examines the characteristics of lead-acid batteries with the pressure to the electrode system.
Evaluation Of Temperature Influence on Lithium-ion Battery Properties
Zachová, Zuzana ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with monitoring of the influence of temperature on the properties of lithium-ion batteries, especially on the safety and capacity of selected batteries. Chapters 1 and 2 contain a literature review on the subject, describing electrochemical energy sources, especially secondary accumulators, mainly lithium-ion cells. Furthermore, the safety and degradation processes of lithium-ion batteries are discussed and the third chapter describes the design of experiments, realization and outputs of these experiments.
