State of photovoltaic in the Czech Republic
Lukášek, Kamil ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
Photovoltaic in the Czech Republic has gone through significant development during last few years. The thesis describes physical principle of converting solar energy into electrical energy using photovoltaic cells. Photovoltaic power plant is a set of technologic components connected together to utilize solar energy and convert it into electric energy that could be distributed to electric power network. Review of the photovoltaic development in the Czech Republic and the list of the biggest operational photovoltaic power plants present important data for assessment of the current status of photovoltaic technology in the Czech Republic. Chapter operations and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants summarizes the most common causes of failures and presents diagnostic tools for service requests. Due to legislative changes, hybrid photovoltaic power plants construction has been prioritized as it is economically more efficient now. Construction of new hybrid photovoltaic power plant was assessed analytically using SWOT analysis that evaluates strong and weak sides of the projects in comparison with opportunities and threats of construction. After evaluation of obtained data the next steps of the hybrid photovoltaic power plant’s construction plan are proposed. The first part of hybrid photovoltaic power plant design contains PVGIS program's data evaluation, which provides sunlight intensity information for specified area. Obtained data were used in the second part of the design to determine proper components selection for family house hybrid photovoltaic power plant. Finally the economic view of the design and return of investments were assessed.
Catalysts for positive electrode of hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell
Kováč, Martin ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with new methods of preparing catalytic materials for positive electrode of an oxygen-hydrogen fuel cell and the influence of potassium permanganate or doping agent molar mass change on theirs attributes. Further it studies the use of proper measuring methods designed to qualify theirs attributes and the presentation of achieved results. In particular methods of linear sweep and cyclic voltammetry and the processing of data using Koutecky-Levich and Tafel plot and wave log analysis. Values of half-wave and onset potential and kinetic coefficient have been measured and calculated.
Inovation of measurement equipment used for analyzing of photovoltaick cells
Otépka, Jakub ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tachometer which is used to measure and display of mechanical aperture speed of a measuring equipment for the defect analysis of solar cells using the photoluminescence method. This work is divided into three parts. The first section describes the principle of solar cells, the principle of luminescence radiation and its types. Next the defects of solar cells are analyzed. The second part discusses the theory of tachometers, the principles and methods of loading pulses. The third part is then analyzed the design and construction of the selected type tachometer.
Effect of titanium dioxide on the properties of lead-acid batteries operating in hybrid vehicles mode
Konečný, Zdeněk ; Tošer, Pavel (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with lead-acid batteries operating in hybrid electric vehicles mode, i.e. in a partial state of charge. The adverse effects such as premature capacity loss and large internal resistance can markedly affect the life of a lead battery. The experiment described in this work aims to clarify the influence of the titanium dioxide in the active mass of negative electrodes especially in the life of lead acid batteries.
Influence of conductive ceramics on the life of lead acid batteries
Tobolák, Jakub ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on lead-acid batteries used in hybrid electric vehicles. These cells work in specific conditions, particularly under partial charge referred to as PSOC. This fact is responsible for the premature loss of capacity cell lead-acid batteries and their short lifetime. The task of this thesis is to examine the effect of conductive ceramics as possible additives to the negative electrode active materials of lead-acid battery cells operating in a PSOC, in order to prolong their life.
Support of company management systems using available software tools
Panák, Petr ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Successful organisations are build upon effective management systems based on general values, concepts and processes, described not only in standards. While standards represent general requirements, area of expertise demands specific requirements. In both cases management systems are supported by suitable software tools making collaboration and workflow easier. The thesis focuses on correct evaluation of software tools adhering to relevant requirements of ISO standards. General evaluation criteria are outlined and then specified. Evalution approach, method and guide are created. Table and database editors are considered as possible evaluation tools. As an example, tools for organisation management support are evaluated. The practical part of the thesis describes a specific organisation and its needs for document and internal audit management, from which criteria, evaluation method and recommendations are drawn. At the end is described the counselling procedure.
Influence of titanium dioxide on the life of lead acid batteries with applied pressure
Řihák, Pavel ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Hybrid electric vehicles use lead acid batteries operating under partial charge. Battery life of these batteries is dependent on the speed of development of lead sulphate (PbSO4) to the negative electrodes. Different admixtures are affected battery life. This work deals with the influence of titanium dioxide on the negative active material in lead battery. Mainly devoted to the influence of the applied pressure.
Optimization of the solar system designed for DHW school canteens heating
Doskočil, Filip ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Masters’s thesis describes the use of solar energy for solar thermal systems used for domestic hot water heating. It is about the size of the incident solar radiation on Earth. Distributes various types of solar collectors for water heating. It deals with the monitoring, remote management of this system and the design of optimal control used in this area.
