Progress of technology of clearnes waste-water
Jechová, Markéta ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
Saying wastewater treatment, we should imagine not only wastewater cleaning technologies, but also the way the wastewater gets into the wastewater treatment plant, as well as the possibility of liquidation of the disposed trash. In the Czech Republic discharging wastewater has its rots in the 14th century, but the first wastewater treatment plant was not activated until the February 1905. It operated till the sixties (Pražské vodovody a kanalizace, 2010; Historie stokování a čištění odpadních vod v Praze, 1998). The wastewater treatment plant collects the wastewater from households, the rain water and wastewater from factories. These often have the liability for cleaning their wastewater, so that no dangerous chemical could get into the wastewater treatment plant. (Císař, 1987) There are two possible ways of treating the wastewater, an intensive and an extensive method. The extensive method is simpler and undemanding the constant power supply (Švehla, 2007). The cleaning of wastewater is very important as the treated water is drained into watercourses. Even thought self-purification processes, that naturally dispose organic materials, occur in channels, the water and the environment would be endangered without human intervention (Říha, 1987). Research and development or reconstruction works on water...

Kasíková, Tereza ; Hanel, Lubomír (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
Title Fish and fish-like vertebrates in education system of primary and high schools. Abstract Based on analysis of schoolbooks for primary and secondary schools (11 analysed schoolbooks) and for grammar schools and high schools (5 analysed schoolbooks) I compile frequency (percent occurrence) of fish and fish-like vertebrates nomenclature in my diploma thesis. On this base I prepared the table unifying Czech and scientific nomenclature of all analysed schoolbooks. Whereupon this unifying I created the recommended list of presently valid Czech and scientific terms of fish and fish-like vertebrates for primary and high schools. Furthermore, based on schoolbooks analyses, I compile didactic availability of particular chapters dedicated to fish and fish- like vertebrates. Using of didactic test I surveyed the student`s knowledge at the grammar school. To extend the subject matter of fish and fish-like vertebrates I created teaching presentation "Man and Fish" for basic schools and high schools. I prepared excursions proposal for students where I described in a detail where to go to see main representatives of fish and fish-like vertebrates all around the Czech Republic.
Searching of oportunity and efective methods in skaut program for biology teaching
Yilma, David ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Novotný, Petr (referee)
1.1 Abstract This work seeks to handle two topics. The first issue is to identify Scouts' and pupils' relationship to nature and their comparison. For this purpose was used a questionnaire "Trip" by Jan Krajhanzl. The questionnaire is processed form as of description of the trip to the countryside and each of interviewed students voted on a scale of 1-7 as the situation they like or dislike. The results are not surprising. Scouts positively evaluated the running of the trip than "non- scouts". Scouts do not like the offenses against the purity of nature and deterioration. Unlike "non-scouts" who do not like discomfort. The second issue is to find interesting activities in the Junak's program and after treatment to test in the teaching of biology. Activities are selected based on a survey of preferences directly with pupils in primary schools. Selected activities have to be subjected to the test in practice. To this end, was compiled the program for a convalescent -education stay (OVK) in 2010 which the school on the square of Jiřího z Poděbrad held annually. With the second questionnaire "Biology actively", students chose activities from Junak's program. Is evaluated on a scale of 1-4, depending on how strongly you would like to try the activity. The survey results show that most activities would be...

STRAŠÁKOVÁ, Lenka. Topical walks with preschool children oriented to environmental activities. [Diploma Dissertation]. Praha: Fakulty of Education University of Praha, 2010. 126 pp. The main goal of this diploma thesis is the global observation of the nature while going out with children at kindergarten. Current curriculum is part of this thesis because kindergarten teachers have to plan and realize all the activities in relation to the recent curriculum. New possibilities for the pedagogical activities are compared as well. In the theoretical part of my thesis, I am dealing with the main issues in relation to the chosen topic. The idea is backed up by available literature. In the practical part of my thesis, I am using questionnaires. The purpose is to find out whether the kindergarten teachers globally plan the observation of the nature in their education programs. The evaluation is included as well. The evaluation should be used to plan the activities which will be further planned and carried out. Key words: child at kindergarten, walk, animals, plants, watching and cognition of nature, program for preschool education
Environmental project and its use in a nusery school
Navrátilová, Ludmila ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
The topic of my thesis is "Environmental project and its use in a nursery school." All work is divided into three parts. In the first, theoretic passage, there is the project described with its important parts. It is also focused on environmental education, its brief characteristic and integration into the general educational programme for preschool education. A professional literature has been the source for this part of my work. The second, practical section, is aimed at children's familiarization with nature. Using games, picture materials and especially watching created the kids' awareness of natural environment. I aimed all activities in such a way that they were in harmony with the age and individual possibilities of children. Last chapter is the research part. This section conducts a survey of fear of nature in the case of preschool children. The final evaluation has generated many interesting findings.

Potential of using mammal skulls in classes of natural science
Vadasová, Rebeka ; Řezníček, Jan (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
The thesis puts mind to possibilities of using mammal's skulls in classes of natural science. The work gathers from foreign materials about this subject matter and tries to pass them to the Czech ambient. The first part of the text summarizes theoretical observations about skulls, teeth and owl pellets from which suggested activities proceed. In methodology there are described the ways of skull cleaning and methods of owl pellets collecting and identification of osteologic fragments contained in them. Two units of classwork are the work produce, the first one dedicated to owl pellets dissection, the second one focused on skull identification and life modes derivation from skull characteristics. The authoress successfully tried these proposed activities with pupils from sixth and eighth classes of primary school.
Chiropterans in education of zoology at elementary and high schools
Špringerová, Pavla ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Řezníček, Jan (referee)
This graduation thesis processes the topic of Chiropterans and focuses on its use in education of biology at elementary and high schools. The thesis consists of two main parts. Theoretical part provides basic information about Chiropterans, their characteristic signs, habits and way of life. Special attention is focused on species of bats living in Czech Republic. The chapter deals with the factors threatening Chiropterans and problems of their protection in Czech Republic are addressed as well. Practical part of this work processes excursions to winter roosting sites of the bats and also proposes summer excursions to their hunting-grounds with the use of electronic device to monitor active bats. The same chapter deals with didactic and methodic too. PowerPoint presentation, suitable for introduction Chiropterans to pupils and students at schools, is also part of this work. Major reason for choosing this topic is lack of zoological excursions at elementary and high schools. It is because zoological excursions are considered to be complicated to organize and difficult to prepare. Therefore students don't have a possibility to observe animals in their nature sites. Excursions to winter roosting sites provide good opportunity to change this situation. Another reason for choosing the topic of this thesis is the...
