Optical design for LED luminaire
Oravčok, Ján ; Adamec, Michal (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The first part of the thesis is research, which deals with electric luminaires and especially their light-active parts. Subsequently is described the problem of a specific luminaire, which is used during the control of the surface structure of materials. The next part of the thesis deals with the simulation of the current luminaire and the simulations of the proposed solutions that eliminate the shortcomings of the luminaire. The conclusion of this thesis is the evaluation of the originally used luminaire and the benefits of the proposed solution, which showed the best results in the simulation.
Modern Speech/pause Detectors
Adamec, Michal ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This masters theses deals with standard detection methods of speech/pause - voice activity detectors are based on the principles of short-time energy, real spectrum, short-time intensity and on a combinations of these three detectors. In the next parts, there are mentioned other voice activity detectors based on hidden Markovov‘s models and a detector described in the ITU-T G.729 standard. All the detectors, mentioned above, were implemented in research environment MATLAB. Further there was created an user interface for testing functions of the implemented detectors. Finally, there was done an evaluation by ROC characteristics according to the results of the testing.
Students' experience with outdoor activities in selected secondary schools in Most district
Adamec, Michal ; Turčová, Ivana (advisor) ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (referee)
Title: Students' experience with outdoor activities in selected secondary schools in Most district. Aim: The aim of my master thesis was to survey and discover students' experience with outdoor acitivities and their possible interest in these acitivities at selected high schools in Most district. Method: All needed data were collected by questionnaires. Questionnaires were delivered to selected high schools in the Most district. From the questionnaires we were able to determine if students had experience with outdoor activities and which activities they want to try. Obtained data were statistically processed in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and interpreted in graphical and word form. Results: We have found that students generally have a high interest in outdoor activities. The activity which students are most interested in is paintball. Students at school recieve experience with outdoor activities especially in courses, especially in traditional activities, such as various types of turistika, skiing and camping. After previous experience students want to repeat cycling, camping and downhill skiing. Without previous experience most students want to try zorbing (aquazorbing), paintball and driving four-wheelers (ATV). A positive finding was the fact that students want to devote their free time...

State aid to financial sector during financial crisis of 2008-2009 in USA and EU
Adamec, Michal ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Jazic, Viktorija (referee)
Diploma thesis analyses state aid to financial sector provided by central banks and governments in USA and EU during recent financial crisis. In the deepest stage of the crisis central banks provided great amounts of liquidity in order to keep financial institutions afloat. Then, governments provided guarantees for debts which hepled financial institutions to finance themselves at lower costs. Capital injections and asset guarantees were also provided. In aggregate, the government measures had impact on reducing risk premiums but did not support stock prices. BoE and Fed implemented quantitative easing. Its only impact was decrease of yields of government bonds. All measures failed to restore robust growth of credit to real economy. There is a strong effect of the crisis and provided mesures on the increase of government debts.
