Creation and termination of membership in a cooperative
Adam, Martin ; Oehm, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Černá, Stanislava (referee)
4 Abstract The creation and termination of membership in a co-operative The purpose of this paper is to describe the creation and termination of membership in a co-operative. The reason I chose this topic is that I worked in a co- operative organization and I have large practical experience. The thesis consists of Introduction, five main chapters and Conclusion. The first Chapter describes the history of co-operative movement and history of co-operative legislation. The first Chapter is subdivided into three parts - founding co-operative movement, the history of co-operative movement during Austria-Hungary Empire and during the First Czechoslovak Republic and the history of co-operative movement after 1948. The Chapter two defines a co-operative and explains co-operative principles. The Chapter three is the main part of thesis and it consist of five subchapters. The first subchapter analyzes contemporary co-operative legislation. The second subchapter is about membership in a co-operative and membership share. The third subchapter includes conditions of membership. The fourth subchapter describes the ways of creation of membership in a co-operative and the last subchapter explains the ways of termination of membership in a co-operative. The Chapter four analyzes differences between the membership in...
Machine Learning in the Monitoring of Computer Clusters
Adam, Martin ; Pilát, Martin (advisor) ; Balcar, Štěpán (referee)
With the explosion of the number of distributed applications, a new dynamic server environment emerged grouping servers into clusters, whose utilization depends on the cur- rent demand for the application. Detecting and fixing erratic server behavior is paramount for providing maximal service stability and availability. Using standard techniques to de- tect such behavior is yielding sub-optimal results. We have collected a dataset of OS-level performance metrics from a cluster running a streaming distributed application and in- jected artificially created anomalies. We then selected a set of various machine learning algorithms and trained them for anomaly detection on said dataset. We evaluated the algorithms performance and proposed a system for generating notifications of possible erratic behavior, based on the analysis of the best performing algorithm. 1

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of growing children's bed. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to create a design for a growing baby bed for children between the ages of 0 and 7 and the subsequent possible use as a desk that will respect the normative requirements of all three groups. In the theoretical part, the author gives a look at historical solutions, contemporary solutions and the relationship between materials and technology. The practical part of the diploma thesis will be the design of a growing child's bed, respecting the requirements of the normative and questionnaire surveys. The result of the thesis will be not only the design and technical drawings in the CAD program, but also the BOM and direct quantification of material costs for the product.

Analysis of sensory and toxicologically important compounds in beer
Vrzal, Tomáš ; Čabala, Radomír (advisor) ; ADAM, Martin (referee) ; Feltl, Ladislav (referee)
One of the most relevant group of toxicologically significant compounds in beer are N-nitrosamines. In this thesis, the attention was paid especially on non-volatile nitroso compounds whose concentrations in beer, a chemical structure, and a biological effect has not been known yet. For the reason of the lack of knowledge regarding this compound group, the method for their sensitive detection by chemiluminescence detection after gas chromatographic separation was developed. This method permits a classification of detected nitroso compounds to different groups (N-nitroso, C-nitroso, and combination of C-nitroso and nitro) and distinguish them from interferences. The method is based on recording of a pyrolytic profile of each chromatographic peak, the profiles are then processed by discriminant analysis. The method has been developed for finding and structural identification purposes of these unknown compounds. Its application on an artificially nitrosated beer sample, together with gas chromatographic tandem mass spectrometric analysis, led to structural identification of several representatives of nitroso compounds. Sensory active compounds in this thesis are represented by carbonyl compounds and fatty acids. Carbonyl compounds - furfural and hydroxymethylfurfural - were used during the development...

Bachelor thesis deals with construction of folding table for small living space. The main objective is to create a design of folding table which meets the requirements of the dining table while preserving all the requirements both dimensional and ergonomic. In the theoretical part, the author gives an insight into historical solutions, contemporary solutions and relationship of materials and technology. The practical part consists of concept of folding table while maintaining the requirements of the submitter, the stability calculation and the actual technical solution. Everything is based on findings from the theoretical part. The result is a technical drawing in AutoCAD, pricing and BOM.
Optimization of Processing of Data Files in System DIRAC
Adam, Martin ; Holubová, Irena (advisor) ; Svoboda, Martin (referee)
DIRAC is a software framework for distributed computing providing a complete solution to one (or more) user community requiring access to distributed resources. In this thesis the DIRAC File Catalog (DFC) is extended by adding a DatasetManager module, thus adding support for datasets based on metadata queries. To improve the metaquery handling in the code, a new class MetaQuery was implemented that bundles the handling methods and adds normalization and optimization of the user input. The metaquery language was extended enabling logical operators and parenthesis. In the second part of the thesis the hypothesis that connecting the metadata part of the DIRAC File Catalog to a NoSQL database could improve metaquery performance is evaluated. Several databases are tested and the best performing one is then connected via an interface module to the DFC. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Presentation sentences in fiction and academic prose: a syntactico-semantic, FSP and textual view
Rohrauer, Leona ; Dušková, Libuše (advisor) ; Urbanová, Ludmila (referee) ; Adam, Martin (referee)
The aim of the present thesis is to analyze syntactic realisations of the Presentation Scale (presentation sentences) as they are defined in the framework of Functional Sentence Perspective (FSP). Several aspects are examined: the semantic aspect is reflected in the observation of the semantic character of the presentation verb and in the semantic affinity it displays with its subject. From the syntactic viewpoint, the sentential architecture of presentation sentences is examined as well as the distribution of the syntactic realisations in text. The study also offers results as regards sentences implementing the Extended Presentation Scale, namely the syntactic realisation of the dynamic semantic function of Specification. The textual aspects concern the correlation between the type of presentation sentence, its location within a paragraph and its textual function. All the above-mentioned aspects are examined in sentences excerpted from texts of two different functional styles, viz. academic prose and fiction. The corpus on which the analysis is based comprises 1731 presentation sentences, 826 from texts of academic prose and 905 from texts of fiction. The theoretical part of the thesis aims both at presenting the FSP theory as it was developed by Jan Firbas and his followers and at a comprehensive...
