Application of the multicriterial decision making for an investment portoflio

The aim of this thesis is the selection of suitable investments (shares) for a particular investor and the creation of an investment portfolio with the help of multiple-criteria decision analysis.
The first part of the work summarizes the theoretical background of security portfolio creation, acquaints the reader with the concept of stocks and methods of analyzing equity instruments. It also provides an overview of the functioning of the capital markets generally and specifically in the Czech Republic. The second part focuses on the approaches and procedures for solving decision-making problems. Methodological apparatus includes systems analysis, linear optimization and multi-criteria decision making methods. The third part of the thesis concentrates on the application of this methods for the formation of the investment portfolio in the presence of multiple criteria. Most important ratios of the stock market and the magic triangle return, risk and liquidity are reflected in equities choice. Stock selection is carried out by using models of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives in two rounds and portfolio composition is determined by the classical model of linear programming. As a result, investor gets a recommendation for his portfolio, which contains a number of shares of selected companies on the Czech market. This procedure of creating the portfolio can be used by individual investors, financial advisors and brokers and complement their knowledge, experience and intuition.

Family housing decision-making

This thesis is concerned with choosing the best and most real estate mortgage loans for family with children. The family should be chosen property near his residence momentary, then it should be recommended for this property the best mortgage loan. Selecting the property was affected by the demands of all family members and subsequent mortgage loans was selected from the products offered on the Czech market in November 2016. The thesis can be thematically divided into three main parts. The first part includes a literature search, which is divided into two areas. First described methods of multi-criteria decision making, which will be used in the decision making process. Along with these methods includes a literature review and theoretical part of the program area Super Decisions, which will be used in the practical part. Furthermore, theoretically they recognized concepts related to mortgage loans, according to which are then laid down criteria for assessing mortgage loans. The second part contains already a practical perspective on family issues, which therefore includes the selection of the best and most real estate mortgage loan program with the help of Super Decisions. The third part includes a summary of the work and the interpretation of results obtained through the program Super Decisions.

Historical and contemporary wooden timbered buildings for living and construction solutions

The aim of this thesis was to carry out a search based on available literature that focused on historical development of timbered houses in the Czech Republic that are intended for permanent living. A survey was conducted subsequently to this search. This survey concentrated on firms that nowadays build timbered houses and also on construction solutions and structure composition of such houses. The conducted survey describes prevalent construction solutions of timbered houses in the current housebuilding sector of the Czech market.
The thesis focuses on thermal properties of today's timbered wooden structures. Next, an indicative measurement of these buildings was carried out by a blower door test and thermal imaging diagnostics. Furthermore, the thesis compares timbered structures with standard requirements for permanent housing. Interestingly, the measurements for instance showed that one new building met the requirements of the blower door test. Next, several thermography measurements demonstrated seamless heat transfer of a timbered wall as a whole.
The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the current use and construction of timbered houses in the Czech Republic. Moreover, it sums up the results of the measurements and outlines the survey results regarding the thermal properties of these houses.

Assessment of developments of perennial beds in the area CULS

This Bachelor thesis is build on the previous one "Assessment of developments of perennial beds in the area CULS" from 2014. It continues in assessing data collected from previous thesis with the addition of data for the year 2015. The observations concerned 10 perennial beds, which are located in the Libosad on the sunny habitat, and 8 beds shady which are based at the building of the Faculty of Economics and Management. This assessment took from April to November. Assessment is focused on the beds in the shade.
Every bed is represented by schematic drawing. For each perennial, there is process data of coverage, comparison with previous year and if it become extinct, very feeble or expansive species. In addition, on perennials in shady habitat where assessed their aesthetic functioning from April to September. Finally, it is accompanied by the photographs taken during the reporting period. The aim is to give insight on the behavior of perennials in the given circumstances, to discuss the causes of non-viable species and propose appropriate solutions.
The main lacks where observed in extensive attitude to beds in shady habitat. The most of species used there showed symptoms of lack of moisture from June to the end of observation. By reason of this limiting factor, many species die out and the surviving species didn't reach high quality at all. Beds located in sunny habitat were impressive and have the highest representation of expansive species.

Assortment of perennials used on rural gardens and their application

This thesis collects and assesses data on the assortment of perrenials grown in rural areas in the Kolín, Nymburk and Prague - East districts in the Central Bohemian Region. The aim of this work was to ascertain which varieties of perennials are used in public greenery in rural areas and their application in individual districts.
The collected data assesses on the assortment of perennials grown in the selected areas, and presents tables and charts summarising the occurrence of individual plant varieteies.
Options for using perennials to brighten up public areas in rural municipalities are proposed in the final part of the thesis.
