Simultaneous measurement of velocity and molar concentration in a gas-mixture turbulent flow using a dual heated sensors probe; part III: method of measurement and evaluation of results
Uruba, Václav ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton
Method of velocity and concentration simultaneous measurement. Procedure of data collection and evaluation of results is shown on an sample measurement.
Unsteady turbulent flow with adverse pressure gradient
Šarboch, Jaroslav ; Favre-Marinet, M.
Velocity and wall shear stress measurements in a periodic turbulent flow with adverse pressure gradient were performed in a conical difuser (air flow) and in a water diverging channel, both with the total divergence angle 6 degrees.
Application of thermoanemometry for investigation of the large water droplets in the vicinity of the LP stage of a full scale steam turbine
Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav ; Šarboch, Jaroslav ; Řehák, Vratislav ; Jonáš, Pavel
The response of a CTA hot-wire anemometer on a water droplet impact is investigated. Characteristic shape of the CTA-output response signal after a jewater jet impact was ascertained. This knowledge was applied to an analysis of time records made in the vicinity of the LP stage of turbine. Statistical estimates of the occurrence and frquency of large droplets in the wet steam flow are presented.
On the spectral analysis of the wet steam flow in the vicinity of the LP stage of a full-scale steam turbine
Uruba, Václav ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton ; Řehák, Vratislav
The unsteady steam velocity spectral characteristics were qualitatively evaluated for measurements brought upstream and downstream the LP stage. Using the conditional averaging technique the signal has been split up into periodical and random components. significant frequencies in velocity spectra have been detected.
Implementation and futher application of refined transition prediction methods for turbomachinery and other aerodynamics flows. /Z - 1307/
Jonáš, Pavel ; Příhoda, Jaromír
The report deals with mathematical modelling and experimental investigation of the bypass transition in boundary-layer flows. The modelling of bypass transition is based on two-layer turbulence models and an algebraic intermittency model. The effect of velocity and length scales of free-stream turbulence on the onset and the end of the transition region for flat-plate boundary layer was investigated experimentally.
Consideration on the measurement of the unsteady 3D-flow characteristics in a bend of a pipe
Jonáš, Pavel
The problem of the measurement of the flow characteristics inside a bend duct is discussed. The single rotable hot-wire measuring procedure is thoroughly derived. The derivation of the measurement by means of a 4-wire thermoanemometer probe is sugge
Measurement by means of probes with several sensors
Uruba, Václav
The calibration and evaluation methods using a anemometric probe with three sensores are discused in presented paper.
A new approach to thermoanemometer measurement by using a X-probe
Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav
A new method for measurement with X hot-wire probe utilizing possibilities which provides the anemometer output signal digitalisation and data acquisition is described
