Reliability assessment of steel tubes considering due to fracture
Marek, Pavel ; Korouš, Jan ; Bielak, O.
Cracks are most dangerous defects which can be found in real structures, Prediction of the crack instability is influenced by many factors of random nature. To take into account these random variables, SBRA approach can be adopted. The paper show how the probabilistic assessment can be used for calculation of fracture probability in a cracked pipe, as random variables, material properties and crack depth were assumed. The assessment resulted in fracture probability which can be compared with a target value
Application of numerical models in case of probabilistic analysis of truss systems using SBRA method
Křivý, V. ; Marek, Pavel
This paper deals with the possibilities how to perform the probabilistic reliability assessment of systems using numerical transformation models based on the Finite Element Method.
Calculation of the probability of failure of a load carrying system using Monte Carlo and SBRA
Guštar, M. ; Marek, Pavel
Calculation of the probability of failure of a load carrying system using Monte Carlo and SBRA.During the past years the fully prababilistic SBRA method attested its ability to estimate the reliability of structural components and simple structures.
Probabilistic stability strength assessment of multi-story steel frame containing semi-rigid joints using SBRA
Křivý, V. ; Marek, Pavel
This paper is concerned with the reliability assessment of steel frame structures using the probabilistic SBRA method.
Reliability of structures exposed do dynamic response of the load-probabilistic assessment using SBRA method
Marek, Pavel ; Valihrach, J.
Using examples, the reliability of structures exposed to dynamic response is assessed by probabilistic SBRA (Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment) Method.
Comments on failure probability of steel structures due to plastic reversals in case of earthquake
Marek, Pavel ; Václavek, L.
The Evaluation of steel structures damaged by earthquakes in the last decade has contributed considerably to the improvement of the design of structures and especially details relating to their ductility and to the dissipation of energy. An analysis of research results led to significant corrections of codes guidelines and instructions
Roadmap to the probabilistic reliability assessment of structural systems using SBRA method
Marek, Pavel
This paper focuses on one methods, SBRA, using the Monte Carlo simulation technique.
Probabilistic evaluation of unstable crack propagation in pipeline using SBRA method
Václavek, L. ; Marek, Pavel ; Gajdoš, Lubomír
Using a pilot example, the subject of the paper is a demonstration of the prababilistic safety assessment of a pressure pipeline containing a crack.
Probabilistic assessment of the fatigue life of tubular steel supports of Žďákov bridge
Marek, Pavel ; Vlk, M.
Using a pilot example, the safety probabilistic assessment procedure is explained and the probability of failure of a steel structure exposed to fatigue damage due to wind load is calculated.
Experimentally obtained values and their elaboration using SBRA-method
Pirner, Miroš
The article is aimed to inform about the knowledge accumulated in the field of dynamic experiments and identification of condition of concrete bridges, attention is primarily given to the method of Simulation Based Reliability Assessment (SBRA-method). The second part informs about application of this method in the field of aerodynamics of civil engineering structures.
