Prediction of the transport properties of multicomponent dense gas mixtures

An implementation of the Thorne-Enskog equation for the evaluation of the thermal conductivity and viscosity of high-density fluid mixture is presented. The method is based upon the rigid-sphere model of the fluid mixture suitably interpreted to apply real fluids. The procedure requires the knowledge of the transport properties of the pure component gases at igh density, the zero-density values of the transport properties both for the pure components and for their binary mixtures.
Thermal conductivity of methane and natural gases measured with a hot-wire apparatus

Thermal conductivity measurements have been performed on two natural gases with significantly different compositions. The systems have been investigated from 0.1 to 15 MPa and in the temperature domain from 288 to 358 K. The thermal conductivity data obtained are intended for testing the methods of mixtures property prediction.
