A crack propagation in structure parts exposed to a nonproportional multiaxial random loading
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Balda, Miroslav ; Frohlich, Vladislav
The contribution deals with activities a goal of which was a testing of a possibility of an applikation of Paris formula in case of a complex loading. The problem was studiedand verified experimentally on tube speciments possesing a lateral hole, which were stressed by a combination of tension-pressure and torque. A rate of the crack propagation velocity has been evaluated for different kinds of random nonproportional loading characterised by the different ratio of normal and shear stress.
The use of energy criterion for computing the fatigue lives of structures stressed by a multiaxial nonproportional random loading
Balda, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Jaroslav
The originally uniaxial energy criterion has been modified for an multiaxial case introducing a fictive damaging stress as a resultant of a couple of normal stresses as a driving one. The resulting fatigue lives are in an acceptable correlation with those obtained experimentally. A scattering of the experimental data increases with a ratio of tangential and normal stresses.
A fatigue life and hypotheses under combined random loading
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Balda, Miroslav ; Frohlich, Vladislav
The contribution deals with a problem of an application of hypotheses for fatigue damage cumulation and calculation of fatigue life of structures exposed to a random in-phase combined loading in tension-pressure - torsion. A new process has been developed for a Corten-Dollan hypotheses. A proposal has been given for a choice of the correction curve power kCD, as a function of a main stress standard deviatio s1.
Using hypotheses for calculating fatigue lives of parts exposed to combined random loads
Balda, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Fróhlich, Vladislav
The contribution deals with a complicated problem of fatigue damage of structure parts, which are loaded by a combination of random forces in tension-pressure and moments in torque. An attempt for estimating the total damage is made. It is basedon an application of a virtual damaging stress. The damage is evaluated by meansof the hypothesesof Palmgren-Miner and Corten-Dolan, which are appliedto a rain -flow-like sequence of a resulting stress.
Structure life under a multiaxial loading
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Balda, Miroslav ; Fróhlich, Vladislav
The contribution deals with a problem of fatigue life of structures exposed to a proportional random multiaxial loading in tension - pressure and torsion. Tests proved that a fatigue damage is stronglydependent on the main stress level, while maintaining the corresponding maximum shear stress constant. The obtained fatigue-life curve as a main stress standard deviation as function of the number of loading blocks has the similar character as the S-N curve under harmonic loading.
Problems of a limit fatigue stress under combined loading
Balda, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Jaroslav
The theory of fatigue life of structures under combined synchronized harmonic loading has been extended. Limit stress of combined loadding corresponding the fatigue limits has been assembtet from experimental data. They obey both the law of ellipse for in-phaseloading and a bit modified law for out-of-phase loading. A new formula for its exponent has been built.
Statistical processingof fatigue tests in LATEX
Balda, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Fröhlich, Vladislav
The paper deals with a problem of making up protocols on material fatigue tests containing measured data, their regression, 90% and 95% confidence intervals, a diagram of all these functions, and a table of the processing results. All these steps are done in one computer run in the LATEX environment without any import of external graphics or results. New styles have been developed for the purpose. The system is fast reliable.
A comparison of approaches to assessment of fatigue crack propagation
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Balda, Miroslav ; Fröhlich, Vladislav
The Paris formula has been used for an evalution of a residual life of tube-form specimentswith a lateral hole.
A new information on evaluation of security of real structures stressed by combined random loading
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Balda, Miroslav ; Fröhlich, Vladislav
The report deals with problems of evaluation fatigue life and security of real structures loaded by proportional combined random processes. Four real structure elements were used for a design and verification of computing methods for fatigue life and security estimates. The report contains all important instructions for the use of presented methods.
