AE source space localization in thickwall structures
Přibáň, Miroslav ; Hora, Petr
Article deals with an analysis of application potential and precision of 3D-localization of AE sources within the scope of the local AE monitoring of a selected area of a thick walled structure.
The effect of input pulse shape on stress wave propagation in a thick plate
Hora, Petr
The effect geometrical dispersion is that the energy in a wave-packet propagates at different speeds depending on its frequency. It is shown that duration of a wave-packet increases linearly with propagation distance and also that the duration of a wave-packet after a given propagation distance depends on the input signal. Some conclusions are made concerning the Lamb wave propagation in a steel plate.
Analysos of the influence of non-loated plastic zone on the stress wave propagation in 1D continuum
Adámek, V. ; Laš, V. ; Valeš, František
This work concerns the numerical solution of non-stationary 1D problems of continuum using FEM. The first part of this report is focused on the description of the computational model used and the analysis of the static initial tension. Based on the printed results in the second part the mutual interaction of the elastic stress wave with local non-loaded plastic zone is described.
The influence of non-linear properties of material on the stress-wave propagation
Lašová, V. ; Laš, V. ; Valeš, František
This paper deals with the numerical solution of the stress wave propagation in continuum. In order to obtain the comparison of the numerical and analytical solutions, a thin round bar clamped at one end and dynamically loaded by a time-step function and the latter one was considered. Observed was the propagation of both the elastic and plastic waves. The interaction between the statically preloaded region and the stress waves was invertigated too.
Non-stationary stress state of transversally loaded thin and thick plates
Valeš, František ; Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Volek, J. ; Červ, Jan
In the paper, the solution of non-stationary stress-state of thick and thin plates transversally loaded on one of their faces is described. The solution of the thick plate is based on equations of motion of 3D continuum. The results of analytical, numrical FEM and experimetal analysis are presented.
Non-stationary stress state of transversally loaded thin and thick plates
Valeš, František ; Pelikán, Vladimír ; Volek, J. ; Červ, Jan
The solutions of non-stacionary stress state of thick and thin plates transversally loaded on one of their faces are described. By results comparison, the validity limits of thin plate approach can be found. The solution of the thick plate is based of quations of motion of 3D continuum; using basic models from the Kirchhoff to Timoschenko-Mindlin ones the thin plate solutions are obtained.
Matrix techniques for modeling stress waves in multilayered media
Hora, Petr
This paper describes the development of a general purpose model for wave propagation in Cartesian system.
Plastic zones and anisotropy effects on wave propagation in rods and strips
Valeš, František ; Červ, Jan ; Pelikán, Vladimír ; Lašová, V. ; Laš, V.
Study of stress wave interactions with plastic zones in isotropic rods made of elastic-plastic material. Anisotropy effects on stress wave propagation in elastic orthotropic strips with geometrical inhomogeneities.
The Elastic Wave Propagation in Prismatic Bodies with the Shape Transition
Morávka, Š. ; Hora, Petr
The work treats the elastic wave propagation in the basic elements of structures. Results of analytical computations (generalized ray theory), numerical simulations (FEM implemented in MARC/MENTAT) and experimental results (broadband piezoceramic transducers) are compared mutually. Samples with the most commom shape transitions are used.
Influence of plastic zones on the stress waves propagation
Valeš, František ; Laš, V. ; Lašová, V. ; Červ, Jan
Influence of plastic zones in a thin bar on the elastic waves propagation. Plastic deformations are created by superposition of compression pre-stress created in the middle part of the bar, the other end of the bar is built in. Followed is the pre-stress after interaction with the primary wave.
