Hydrodynamické interakce mezi bublinami stoupajícími v řadě
Stanovský, Petr ; Vejražka, Jiří ; Růžička, Marek ; Drahoš, Jiří
Knowledge about hydrodynamic interaction between bubbles are essential to uderstanding of bubbly flows behavior. The aim of this work is to check the existence of stable separation distance between bubbles experimentally. Air bubbles were produced in ultra-filtered water using a special device - the bubble generator. Pictures were taken with a digital SLR kamera. Bubbles were illuminated by the back light, using a light diffuser. Pictures were processed in MATLAB using the Image Processing Toolbox. Equivalent bubble radius, nonsphericity of bubbles, horizontal spacing and vertical displacement. was evaluated from processed pictures. Behavior of bubbles was compared with theoretical assumptions and models.

Lokální charakterizace tokového pole v bublané koloně generované pomocí CFD
Fialová, Marie ; Staykov, P. ; Vlaev, S.D.
This study is aimed at 3-D simulation of bubble column using commercial CFD code Fluent and generating experimental local gas hold-up distribution profiles at different bed height positions, comparing these profiles with model solutions and demonstrating the flow field variation (vector plots for air and liquid movement) obtained by CFD modeling. Overall gas volume fraction values predicted by the CFD simulation were matched to measured values and showed comparable. CFD modeling was found to describe satisfactorily bubble bed formation in the bubble column operating with water and low viscosity solution.

Tvorba bublin: CFD simulace a experimenty
Havlica, Jaromír ; Bunganič, Radovan ; Růžička, Marek ; Drahoš, Jiří
The motivation of our work is the bubble generation from orifices of a gas distributor in bubble columns. Our interest is in the detail dynamics of bubble formation, namely in investigation of the synchronous and asynchronous modes of bubbling from multiple orifices. We considered the bubble formation both form a needle and an orifice on plate. We approached the problem with both the CFD and experiment.
