Deset vět o pražském orloji
Křížek, Michal ; Šolcová, A. ; Somer, L.
We present ten geometrical and algebraical theorems that have a close connection with the astronomical clock (horologe) of Prague. In particular, we found that there is a remarkable relationship between the triangular numbers and the bellworks of the astronomical clock.
Optimal control of linear dynamical systems with a quadratic criterion
Křížek, Michal ; Šolcová, A.
We study linear dynamical systems with a quadratic criterion. We prove that the minimum of a criterion functional depends ounly on the initial value of the optimal control.
Šindelovské posloupnosti a pražský orloj
Křížek, Michal ; Šolcová, A. ; Somer, L.
We show that there is a very close relationship between triangular numbers and the bellworks of the astronomical clock of Prague. To this end we define a Šindel sequence and present an algorithm which generates such a sequence
Od Fermatových prvočísel ke geometrii
Křížek, Michal
The purpose of this paper is to provide readers with a brief overview of the most beautiful results on the Fermat primes. A special emphasis is the employment of geometric interpretation of several number-theoretic results.
Which is the connection among chaos, fractals and number theory
Křížek, Michal ; Šolcová, A.
We show that there are several very close connections between chaos and fractals and between fractals and number theory.
