Porovnání ultrajemných atmosférických aerosolů v Praze a Budapešti
Matějková, Daniela ; Borsós, T. ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Salma, I. ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Smolík, Jiří
Data measured in Prague suburbs and Budapest city center have been compared in the time period from November 1, 2008 until August 31, 2009 in the size range from 10 nm to 1 µm. Total average particle number concentrations were calculated, 6.8×103 particles/cm3 in Prague, and 1.3×104 particles/cm3 in Budapest. The size distributions were mostly bimodal with the mode located either in the Aitken (25–100 nm) or in the accumulation mode range (> 100 nm). When new particle formation started in the atmosphere, the nucleation mode (< 25 nm) appeared growing from the lowest detectable sizes upwards.
Dynamika velikostního rozdělení částic atmosférických aerosolů v Praze - Suchdole
Matějková, Daniela ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Smolík, Jiří
This work summarizes first results of a one-year-long continuous sampling by SMPS and APS spectrometers at the suburban backgrounds site in Prague-Suchdol. The average particle number concentration was found to be 6500 particles/cm3. The size distributions were mostly monomodal with the mode located either in the Aitken (21-100 nm) ot the accumulation range. The dynamic of particle size distributions and especially situations when we found elevated concentrations of particles smaller than 25 nm were studied. New particle formation belonging to the category Banana event was identified most frequently. The average values of J3, were estimated to be 1.8 cm3s-1 and GR 6.6 nm h-1.

The paper presents a method for filtration of particle count measurement in the time domain. The goal of this method is to remove extremal values caused by short-time instrument malfunction but preserve values representing fast events. The method offers interpolation of particle size distribution so that in can correlated with other variables measured at different time intervals.
Organický a elementární uhlík s vyšším časovým rozlišením ve frakci PM2,5 v Suchdole
Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Vodička, Petr ; Smolík, Jiří
We installed semi on-line field EC/OC analyzer from Sunset Labs, that allows the determination of these elements in hourly intervals. Such time resolution can help to distinquish between sources which have different intensities during 24 hours. First results of these measurements are the subject of this contribution.
