The Illegal group around Karel Nesnídal as a part of Sokol resistance in Hradec Králové region

The topics of the thesis are the life stories of members of the Czechoslovak Sokol Community in the division VII. Hradec Králové, Karel Nesnídal, Josef Urban, Antonín Stiehl, František Weihrauch and Václav Válek after the Nazis involuntary terminated this organization on 8th October 1941. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the origin and structure of the Sokol resistance organization JINDRA, its activities in illegality (code names, passwords, specific encryption system), and to map the fate of these actors after contact with František Pecháček and follow-up connection with the group S21B and the paratrooper group Silver A. The work also deals with uncovering the organization after the arrest of Ladislav Vaněk, head of the JINDRA Group for Bohemia and Moravia, who decided to cooperate with the Gestapo to provide the secret German police the information about other members of the group and its content. The second part of the thesis deals with the arrest and imprisonment of Sokol officials, their conviction to death (Karel Nesnídal and other resistance fighters, leaders and officials of individual divisions) and to the special treatment (Urban, Válek, Weihrauch a Stiehl). Project management in selected company - Agile vs. traditional approaches

The aim of the study is to compare traditional and agile approaches to project management, analyze particular projects in selected company and propose recommendations for t for implementing agile and traditional approaches. Thesis is focused on IT project management, specifically in in the field of developing software products and services. The theoretical part is devoted to project management and the characteristics of the basic concepts. Furthermore it deals with the traditional methods and agile approach to project management and differences between them. Theoretical knowledge is then applied in the practical part in a corporate environment. Major differences between traditional waterfall and agile approach are compared using the examples of real projects. In conclusion, there are basic problems in implementation of agile methods in corporations and recommendations for their implementation.
Specification of requirements for a new information system for complaints and claims management

The aim of the thesis is the specification of user requirements for complaints and claims management in selected company providing financial services in the Czech Republic. The first section explains the basic theoretical background in the field of process management and information systems. It is also discussed the view of complaints and claims management from customer side. The second section describes the system of complaints and claims management in the company. Based on the analysis of the process the next section specifies the user requirements for a new information system and assesses expected benefits and potential risks of implementing a new information system.
Sales Department Efficiency Increase in Selected IT Company.

Main purpose of this thesis is creation of suggestions leading to sales department efficiency increase. Throughout the theoretical part three main approaches dealing with changes in organizations are introduced. These approaches are Process Management, Lean Management and Change Management. Some of the principles and methods introduced are then applied during suggestions development in the second (practical) part of the thesis. The second part begins with the introduction of the company and selected departments. It is thereafter followed by deep analysis of the current state resulting in main constraints discovery. Based on these findings specific suggestions for its elimination are developed. By elimination of these constraints the efficiency of sales department should be increased. Finally, quantification of expected benefits is performed and compared with the defined objectives.
Methodology for implementation of information system in small business

The thesis focuses on methodology of information system implementation in a small company. The aim of this thesis is to develop methodology for implementation of information system that will be used by consultants of Iteron company. Implementation of business information system is a very complicated project. According to research, 60-80% of projects fail. In theoretical part, key success factors for implementation are identified. Existing methodologies from business cases and methodologies of established IS vendors are examined next. Theoretical part ends with description of necessary methods of project management and business analysis. Paper terminates with resulting methodology for implementa-tion for use in our company.
Designing integrated information system for product portfolio management support

Information is the currency of our world. Making right decisions requires having reliable, comprehensive and thorough information still at hand. The tools that can provide it? Information systems. However, the purpose of today's information systems is more than to just collect and store information: they need to integrate numerous data sources (both internal and external), identify essential pieces of information and set them apart from the rest, and provide the people relying on them a clear picture of the situation. In short: they should offer unified, user-friendly, well-structured and comprehensive view of business reality. This paper focuses on the first stage of an information system design. Concerned primarily with the business analytical phases of an IT project, it presents an insight into the process of business reality exploration and description through conceptual data model and architecture vision articulation.
