Tomcová, Jana ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Holman, Lukáš (referee)
Evaluation of dynamics of forest vegetation using remote sensing methods Abstract The subject of the thesis is to evaluate the changes forrest vegetation using the vegetation indices. The indices were chosen to describe the changes viewed from moisture conditions, pigmentary changes and health generally. In the thesis is also evaluated the suitability of individual indices. The researched region Natinal Park Nízké Tatry was chosen based on availability of basic data. For research were used the Landsat CDR images. First the vegetation indices were calculated. Then were chosen the regions affected by wind calamity and bark beetle calamity to compare were chosen not much affected regions. The time series analysis was made for the chosen regions and the resources are displayed in graphs. Finally based on the graphs were chosen the appropriate indices to evaluate the changes in forrest vegetation. From the used indices are appropriate all exklusive FMI. FMI's development does not comply with the assumptions neither with the development of other indices. Key Words: remote sensing, changes in forrest vegetation, vegetation indices, time series analysis, Landscat CDR, National park Nízké Tatry

Analysis of the accessibility of health care in Czechia
Vaněk, David ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with spatial accessibility of outpatient health care in Czechia using network analysis in GIS. Two health insurance companies are involved in the analysis: Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna and Revírní bratrská pokladna. As examples, four different health services were chosen (urology, hemodialysis, nephrology and cardiac surgery). Then, time accessibility was calculated and service areas for health care facilities were generated in ArcGIS. Traveling by car was used as a traffic mode. Time accessibility was compared with the limits established by law. For resultant underserved areas, their shares of total area and population of Czechia were computed. The results are presented by tables and maps, which are in the appendix of this work. The substantial differences among accessibility of health care providers and between both health insurance companies were found out.

Processing current and historical data of surnames in Bohemia in GIS Abstract The main objective of this work is processing current and historical data of surnames of the population of Bohemia and their subsequent comparison. For the purpose of this comparison typologically identical databases were created. The comparison of current and historical data, which were taken from "berní rula" from 1654, is performed by territorial units of judical districts from 1930 and the methods and results of earlier research by Novotný and Cheshire (2012) were used. The analysis focuses on selected surnames and compares current data with historical surnames by location quotients. The results were visualised in ArcGIS. In the conclusion of this work differences in geographical distribution of surnames in Bohemia in the present and in history are discussed. The options of beneficial uses of processed data are also presented. Keywords: surnames, berní rula, judical districts, location quotient

Data resources for evaluation of land use in the Czech republic
Václavík, Jakub ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
Data resources for evaluation of land use in the Czech Republic Abstract The main aim of this thesis was design and create tool for recording errors in land use and land cover maps. The online interactive map application was developed. The application has two modes. The first mode is designed to inserting polygons, which represent errors in map. The second mode lets user vote on the accuracy of the polygons. Voter expresses agree or disagree with thematic and spatial accuracy. Also, the user can download each polygon KML file. The purpose of voting is to facilitate administrators work. The voting system comes from reputation system, which is used by Web 2.0. The paper briefly describes the selected land use and land cover data sources. These are Corine land cover, GlobCover, Urban Atlas and cadastral map of Czech Republic. Cadastral layer was added to the application by WMS technologie. The application was created using the Google Maps API, which has been described together with competing API. The application was developed in programming languages PHP and JavaScript and database system MySQL. Keywords: web application, crowdsourcing, land use, land cover, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL
Creation and visualization of the 3D topographic database of Pravčická brána's surroundings
Mühlstein, Jiří ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
This bachelor thesis covers mostly practical modes of digital terrain model creation and its editing by Geoinformatics. The first part of the thesis is focused on an overview of 3D visualization options, digital terrain model types and also coordinate systems, an area this thesis is concerned with. The second - practical - part is the main one and it focuses on the creation of a hybrid digital terrain model of "Pravčická brána" surroundings that consists of three-dimensional structure objects and 2,5D modified TIN model of surrounding terrain with integrated 3D paths in the area. At first, problems with the inconsistency of entry data are solved and consequently, the process of 3D path and terrain model (which is later edited by deleting those parts colliding with paths) creation is described. In the end, the process of structure modelling and their integration into the edited terrain model is outlined. The outcomes of the thesis are topographic database that can be further used, final scene visualization of the digital model with all its components previews. Keywords: 2,5D, 3D model, SketchUp, ArcScene, DTM, integration

Evaluation of land cover databases based on Prague metropole area Abstract: The aim of this study was to compare land cover databases Corine a Urban Atlas and assess their informative capability and classification systems. The work is focused on evaluation of land cover changes in Prague metropole area and its surroundings in period 1990 - 2000 a 2000 - 2006. The practical part is focused on land cover changes studied by remote sensing, suburbanization proces and comparison of different classification systems. Analysis of different land cover changes was made using spatial overlay. The study proved, that changes in the area are highly influenced by proces of suburbanization. It was also proved, that use of Corine database to study these changes causes a significant loss of information. Key words: landcover, Corine, Urban Atlas, Prague
Evaluation of landscape changes in the Krkonoše Mountains national park using remote sensing and landscape metrics
Karvánek, Matouš ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse of land cover and landscape state in the Krkonoše Mountains National Park between 1999 and 2007, using supervised classification and landscape metrics calculation. After the classification (Maximum likelihood algorithm) based on legend with 8 categories (5 types of vegetation, arable land, water areas, other areas), overlay analysis was performed by change detection and map sof land cover state and changes were created. The changes of the landscape and landscape components state were evaluated using landscpae metrics in software Fragstats. The overall accuracy for the image from 1999 was 81,50% and for the image from 2007 83,25%. Based on results i tis possible to conclude, that the area of forests increased and as fr the species composition the share of deciduous forests increased during this time period. Shift to a less diverse landscape was recorded based on landscape metrics evaluation. Coniferous forests comprised the landscape matrix in 1999 and also in 2007. Key words: supervised classification, land cover, landscape metrics, SPOT, FRAGSTATS, The Krkonoše Mountains National Park
