Finanční aspekty lesních ekosystémů
Štěpánková, Michaela
Štěpánková, M., Financial aspects of forest ecosystems. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2022. Forest ecosystems provide a range of services that affect the life and well-being of society. As a result of climate neutrality being achieved under the Green Deal, the carbon sequestration ecosystem service plays a significant role. Its role is to reduce atmospheric concentrations and slow global warming by storing oxide in its biomass. Climate change is, among other things, also the cause of the bark beetle calamity, which has negatively affected the functional capabilities of forest ecosystems and the financial situation of forest owners. Therefore, the aim of the work is to quantify the financial aspects of forest ecosystem management on a model of 1 hectare and to evaluate the level of support for forest owners. The benefit of carbon sequestration is demonstrated in the enumeration of the value in individual regions of the Czech Republic regarding the area size of forest land. Consequently, a recommendation for forest ecosystem management is cre-ated to protect investments and the resilience of forests to climate change.

Štěpánková, Marie ; Vystrčil, Jan (referee) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis was to design a kindergarten building as building with almost zero energy consumption. This is the project documentation of the actual implementation. The proposed building has two above-ground floors and a partial basement. The building is designed for three classes for kindergarten children, ranging from 3 to 6 years old, and two doctor's offices. One consulting room is used for speech therapy, and the other as a psychological office. Each part of the classroom has its own entrance, a changing room for children and employees, hygienic areas, a playroom with a bed, a storage room for toys and sunbeds. Another part of the building is the technical facilities, which are located in the basement. On the 1st floor, there are offices and day rooms for kindergarten employees, a space for preparing meals and a warehouse for food. The last room is located on the 2nd floor, which is the language classroom. The internal perimeter load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures are designed from ceramic blocks. The ceiling structure is designed from prestressed Spiroll ceiling panels, supplemented by monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling slabs. The roof structures have two height levels and both are designed to be flat. The perimeter masonry is contact-insulated with mineral wool. Part of the facade is designed as ventilated with wooden panelling. The building is based on foundation belts made of plain concrete in combination with blocks of lost shuttering.

Štěpánková, Marie ; Havlíček, Jan (advisor) ; Houzar, Alžběta (referee)
The main acoustic communication channel in humans is speech. However, people also exhibit a number of non-speech vocal manifestations. Vocal manifestations contain several parameters that can be measured and parameters that can be perceived. Vocalization can be divided into positive and negative, so it can be assumed according to the contexts in which they occur. Based on this, their possible communication function can be assumed. Vocal expressions are important for communication with the environment especially in preverbal children, i.e. from birth to about 1 year of life. Vocal manifestations include, for example, crying, laughing, grumbling or babbling. Some vocalizations can contribute to speech development.
