Preparation of hystorical geopolymers

Diploma thesis studies historical bonding agents on the base of geopolymers. The aim of the thesis is to find a proper material composition, especially made of natural clay materials (kaolinite, bentinite) and their modifications (metakaoline). These bonding agents have to have a suitable type of an activator that guarantees good bonding properties. Therefore testing of various kinds of alkaline activating ingredients on the same mineral composition was done. Except of usual hydroxides and a water glass, ancient natrons (mixtures of alkaline carbonate with addition of appropriate chlorides) and a lime mash were used as the activators. From the above mentioned mixtures, series of samples (columns 20 x 20 x 100 mm) stored at the laboratory temperature were prepared. In the prepared mashes, their workableness and moulding were investigated. In the developed samples, their surface appearance was observed together with a number of efflorescence and its types. An indivisible part of the research was formed by determination of mechanical properties of the experimental columns such as a compressive strength and a tensile strength in bending. Furthermore, phase composition of the samples and its changes with a temperature increase were investigated. For these tests, XRD and TG – DTA methods were used. A multi-seat isoperbolic calorimeter was used to study hydratation that was also the important part of the general evaluation of designed mixtures.

The subject of this Bachelor´s thesis is analysis and proposal for development of the company IN CAR centrum ltd., which deals with car audio products and other equipment for vehicles. On the basis of implemented analysis of internal and external company´s environment was proposed entrepreneurial intention, which leads to entering a new market.

Předmětem diplomové práce je průzkum vztahů společnosti IN CAR centrum s.r.o. s jejími velkoobchodními odběrateli. Na základě shromážděných teoretických východisek a analýzy současného stavu společnosti je navržena strategie vedoucí ke zlepšení úrovně poskytovaných služeb a zkvalitnění spolupráce s partnery. Cílem diplomové práce je navrhnout marketingovou strategii pro velkoobchodní činnost, která povede ke zlepšení současné situace a celkovému ozdravení společnosti.

Theme of Memories in Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go and Julian Barnes' The Sense of an Ending

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse how the theme of memories is represented in two novels of contemporary British literature, Never Let Me Go (2005) by Kazuo Ishiguro and The Sense of an Ending (2011) by Julian Barnes. The thesis is concerned with unreliable narrations of the novels and examines how the theme of memories is integrated in the plotlines. Theoretical part of the thesis focuses on memories from psychological perspective, on the nature of memories, unreliable narrator and output of the authors. In the practical part, the analysis of the selected novels is performed.

Analysis of the decision-making factors in freight forwarder selection process

The thesis analyses the factors of customer decision-making process by choosing a freight forwarder in the Czech Republic market. While applying factors by other relevant research studies dealing with the decision-making process of customers in non-European countries, the research examines factors characteristic for the Czech customers. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews as research methods are applied. Within the research, a new service quality instrument TARRQUAL was developed. The TARRQUAL was proved on a survey including 250 customers of freight forwarder Kühne+Nagel Czech Republic. As service quality measurement, TARRQUAL is supposed to be applied particularly in logistics business field. The project aims at providing input for empirical research in the field of service quality in container shipping, which is lacking in the Central and East European countries.

This diploma thesis deals with a formation of the decision making model for the choice of the ideal location for running a business. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the current state of this problem in the literature and describes the establishment process of the private limited company in the chosen countries. The practical part concentrates on a comparison of financial costs and time costs connected to the establishing of the private limited company in chosen countries and the analysis of the external environment by using PEST analysis method. Fuller method and weighted scoring method is used for an evaluation of the key factors which influence the businessmen during the establishment process. Based on the results of the analysis, decision making model and comparison with the studies made by world organizations, the best country for establishing the private limited company is chosen.
