Shepherding in the Beskid Mountains with Main Focus on the Area around Frydek-Mistek

The bachelor thesis focuses on the history and development of shepherd's huts in the area of the Beskydy Mountains. The main attention is paid to localizing of the particular, previously unidentified shepherd's huts in the region and specifically in the area of the Ondrejnik Peak in the district of Frydek - Mistek and the territorial unit of the Moravian- Silesian Beskydy Mountains, starting with the surroundings of Frenstat in the east and ending up with the surroundings of Jablunkov in the west. The aim was to determine the exact geographic coordinates not only of the shepherd's huts, but also of the former hovels. Further attention is also paid to buildings of shepherd's hut type, way of running the households, farming, shepherd's hut furnishing, products from shepherd's huts and shepherd's huts folklore.
