Surface finishing of plastic parts
Ševčík, Igor ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is processing of theme surface finishing of plastic parts, specifically products of 3D printing made of Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and consequent experimental execution of chosen methods. The thesis includes analysis of current knowledge, description of various procedures and possibilities of surface properties modification. The aim of treatment is to allow further processing of plastic objects, such as metal coating. Experiment accomplish-ments are listed and the effect of surface treatment is evaluated afterwards.

Design of the product for additive manufacturing
Ritterová, Diana ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of an orthopedic insole with emphasis on breathability and support of a longitudial arch. The insole can be manufactured by using 3D printing technology FFF from a flexible plastic TPU filament. The shape of the insole is based on the contour of a foot. The inner structure was designed in the Grasshopper plug-in and then added to the shape of the insole in Rhinoceros.
Design of the Air conditioning unit for additive robotic fabrication
Mandáková, Adéla ; Chorý, Tomáš (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The design of air conditioning unit is based on combination of the product itself and related architecture. The large-scale 3D printing is becoming more and more popular, that is why this thesis chose additive manufacturing robotic technology for designing the air conditioner. According to analysis the air distribution through perforations is the most convenient one for an indoor unit. An outdoor unit tends to be hidden because of inhomogeneity with the building. To obtain more variant studies for the design a generative process was applied. This method was applied also later on, because additive manufacturing is able to easily change dimension parameters and thus fulfil individual customer requests. Other advantages of robotic printing are the lattice structures that enable perforation manufacturing without waste and the possibility of using generative design methods.
Wavefront sensor
Škaroupka, David ; Jákl, Petr (referee) ; Dostál, Zbyněk (advisor)
When the light passes through optical elements it can cause deformation of wavefront light due to the damage of materials and optical aberrations. The deformation leads to unprecise imaging and deformation of an image. The diploma work mentions wavefront sensing techniques which are important for determination inappropriate errors of optical elements and the specification of their properties. The purpose of the master's thesis is to suggest and investigate wavefront sensing methods after the light passes through the optical element while using the digital micromirror device. The work deals with the topic of wavefront aberrations and geometric optical defects of optical elements. Different kinds of commercial products determined for wavefront sensing are described too.
Design of the extruder for additive manufacturing of highly-filled thermoplastics
Kočař, Jiří ; Koiš, Jiří (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The diploma thesis is concerned in design and realization of an experimental extruder for high-filled thermoplastic (Polybet) extrusion, which is a part of an assembly attached to the robotic arm. The result of the work is a device, that is be able to additively and continuously apply layers of Polybet. The s worm threaded extruder with modified parameters is designed with the ability to extrude the thermoplastic melt with additional fillers (sand, glass). The dimensions and weight of the extruder were minimized within limits of the robotic arm carrying capacity. The design of this thesis is an extruder which is able of large-scale additive printing of Polybet with binders (PET or PP). Another result is a mathematical model of material flow and power consumption, adjusted by results of experiments. The thesis is a research of a new part of additive production, where two types of waste material are used for the construction industry. The thesis examines the influence of fillers on power and flow rate through the extruder.
Design of the electron microscope
Švajdová, Anna ; Surman, Martin (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The theme of this diploma thesis is the design of a scanning electron microscope with a focused ion beam. Specifically, the thesis is focused on the design of the microscope covers and the adjacent workplace of the operator for Tescan Orsay Holding a.s.. Design is solved as the first proposal aimed at future innovation of the design of the entire product line.
Equipment for the dissolution of 3D printed support material
Vodehnal, Michal ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to produce a design of an automatic device that washes away and dissolves supports used by 3D printing machine Dimension SST 1200. The thesis contains chapters on a current state of knowledge of the device, its conceptual designs as well as a final engineering design, which is made of weldment and bought components. The proposed device enables the dissolution of the supports in a sodium hydroxide solution and their final washing in a secondary tank. The design also has protective electronic elements and a system for holding a basket. Technical documentation of the device is included in the thesis.
Design of the car headlight
Struhár, Slavomír ; Křenek, Ladislav (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is design of headlamp for a further unspecified automobile. The first part of the thesis is formed by Overview of current knowledge dedicated to the history, the present and the near future of headlamps of series-production cars. The following sections describe the objectives of the thesis, the process of the design itself and present the final design of the headlamp. The final part evaluates the results of the work with respect to the stated objectives.
