Exercise, side effects of anti-epilepsy drugs and quality of life in patients with epilepsy
Šimonová, Lucie ; Javůrková, Alena (advisor) ; Vogner, Martin (referee)
Background: This bachelor's thesis examines the relationship between physical activity and sociodemographic variables, clinical variables of epilepsy, anxiety, depression and attentional executions, and adverse effects of ASM. Aims: The aim was to investigate how patients who have physical activity differ from those who do not on sociodemographic variables, clinical variables of epilepsy, adverse effects of epilepsy, anxiety, depression and attentional executions, quality of life and adverse effects of ASM. Methods: 235 patients were included in this retrospective cross-sectional study. Patients were examined at the Centre for Epilepsy Treatment, Department of Neurology, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Motol University Hospital. Dg. of epilepsy was determined by a physician. All patients signed the IS and the research was approved by the EC. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, median, minimum, maximum, absolute and relative frequencies) were used to describe the variables. Spearman's correlation coefficient, Student's t-test, and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to analyze the hypotheses and ANOVA was used.Chi-square test was used for discrete variables and logistic regression was used to estimate odds ratio (OR). Results: We were able to demonstrate a relationship...
The impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression
Šimonová, Lucie ; Kučerová, Olga (advisor) ; Adámková, Jana (referee)
This thesis deals with the impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part explains the concepts of anxiety and depression and describes their symptoms, potential causes and ways of treatment. It also mentions phenomena which anxiety and depression need to be distinguished from. Then it deals with the period of adolescence, especially in the 21st century, and the problem of digitization. Due to the nature of the thesis, quantitative research was chosen, represented by a questionnaire, which was completed by 283 respondents. Data analysis showed that online learning seriously affected the mental health of high school students and had a negative impact on it. Out of the symptoms of depression, the students suffered the most with low mood, which significantly affected 62,4 % of the respondents. It was followed by the desire to do nothing, feeling of living an unsatisfactory life, loss of energy and fatigue. These symptoms significantly affected over 57 % of respondents. With anxiety, the students suffered the most from body pain, which affected 53,5 % of the respondents. After that, the most common were avoidance behaviours, anticipatory...
SELECTIVE EMITOR FOR THERMOPHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
Šimonová, Lucie ; Hrzina,, Pavel (referee) ; Šály,, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focused on research and development of a suitable method for creating a selective emitter for the visible and near infrared region so that they are able to work optimally together with silicon photovoltaic cells in a thermophotovoltaic system. The aim of the work was to develop a new method of creating very fine structures outside the current standard, which will increase the emissivity of the base material to meet the needs of a selective emitter for the VID and NIR region. The methods available to us for the creation of structures were chosen, from which we eliminated all unsuitable ones and we introduced the optimal procedure and parameters for their creation for the selected method. In this work, we focused on both ceramic and metallic materials, whose heat resistance and selective properties are key to this work. Part of the development of the emitter structures was also the need for pretreatment of the substrate itself, where great emphasis was placed on the purity of materials and surface roughness. Since ceramic materials cannot achieve a surface roughness so low that the desired structures can be formed, these materials have been purposefully used primarily for the purpose of combining the base material with thin layers of other high temperature material. Their compatibility and suitability were verified in terms of adhesion and subsequent heat resistance. The main material for the formation of fine structures was purposefully chosen tungsten, for which we verified the influence of the formed structure on the emissivity as well as the thermal stability during long-term exposure to high temperatures. The work thus represents not only a new method of creating very fine structures, which are not normally formed in such subtlety, but also opens the way to new possibilities of combining more materials to achieve the required selectivity of the thermophotovoltaic emitter.
Problematic areas of life of university students suffering from social phobia
Šimonová, Lucie ; Bendl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Syřiště, Ivo (referee)
This thesis deals with the problematic areas of life of university students suffering from social phobia. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part explains the concept of social phobia and describes its symptoms and possible causes. It also mentions character traits or emotions which social phobia needs to be distinguished from. It also deals with the period of early adulthood and the description of the university environment with the focus on potential factors in both areas, which can bring problems or stress to the individuals with social phobia. Due to the nature of the work, qualitative research was chosen and an in-depth semi-structured interview was selected for the data collection method, in which five respondents participated. Data analysis has shown that social phobia seriously affects a number of areas of life during university studies. Based on the respondents' testimonies, it was found out that the area of relations, especially partner relationships, is the most complicated. Furthermore, social phobia significantly complicates the field of education and the area of work. It is not uncommon for the individuals to have an education or a job position disproportionate to their potential. One of the biggest problems is the communication...
Lifelong learning for teachers
Šimonová, Lucie ; Vincejová, Eva (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
(in English): The purpose of this paper is to gain knowledge about further teacher education. The paper is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains definitions connected with the topic, legislative definition, goals and forms of further education of teachers and effectiveness. Further it deals with the ways how teachers choose their further education and what motivates them. It also presents the institutions that provide further education of pedagogical staff. The purposes of this part have been fulfilled. The second part focuses on research questions understanding the term of further education of pedagogical workers, its forms, the selection preferences and support from school management. The semi-structured interview method was used to get answers in the research part. The purposes of this part have been partially fulfilled.
Marketing management apelačních vín v ČR se zaměřením na VOC MODRÉ HORY a VOC PÁLAVA
Šimonová, Lucie
There are described resources, information obtain proceeding, extent and research methods in the first part of the thesis. The fourth chapter, Elemental literary summary, explains basic terms of marketing and public relations. Next part of this charter, deals with description the classification of wines according to different criteria, and explain the differences between the Germanic and Romanic system of labeling wines. It is also explained how the Czech Republic classifies wine as VOC, what are the conditions for its production and what should this sign guarantee. Definitely is not missing a description of VOC Modré Hory and Voc Pálava. In the chapter Trends at the wine market in Czech Republic, we executed an exploration of wine market and marketing surrounding brand analysis. The Communication policy and communications environment chapter describes a role of wine in a society and separates a consumers to the particular segments accoriding to the object groups. The Marketing and terroir chapter explains an acceptance of a role of terroir on the global market and what´s the VOC contribution. How to pass the terroir heritage to the consumer; if a terroir use as an instrument of a tourism, opportunity to emplace just this wine to the plane boards or if use an importance of biodiversity within the framework of marketing terroir message. The Marketing strategy chapter describes an acquisition of clients through the social media, further a potentialities wine investments and the social networks in touch of wine. The fifth chapter summarizes a results of this thesis. Evaluates a gained data and interprets a results of the consumer questionnaire and producer questionnaire. Tha last part of fifth chapter is a verification of defined hypothesis.
