Ševčíková, Jana ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor) ; Horáček, Tomáš (referee)
1 The application of the Best Value Approach in the public procurement procedure under the Czech law Abstract This rigorous thesis concerns a specific approach to awarding of public contracts called the Best Value Approach (hereinafter referred to as " BVA") which has been gaining popularity in recent years in various countries in the world, including the Czech republic. In the first place, the aim of this thesis is to describe the BVA and to define its general principles and specific procedures applied to fulfil these principles. The first part of this thesis is focused on brief introduction of the Czech legal regulation of awarding of public contracts, its position in the Czech legal system, specific legal regulations of public procurement and the entities executing the supervision of compliance with these legal regulations and their interpretation. The second part of...

The Soviet Union perceived by the Czech left and the pre-war writings of J. Weil
Legal regulation of the state support of business and export
Ševčíková, Jana ; Marková, Hana (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee)
63 Export Promotion and Legislation Master Thesis Jana Ševčíková This Thesis' topic is introduced in part One. In Czechoslovakia international trade carried out mainly through product specialised trading houses until the early 1990s. This lead to a situation where Czech companies in general knew how to produce marketable goods but had no experience with international trade. In many cases, managers were not familiar with the differences in business practices, and in wider commercial and social culture, of potential partners. Part Two of the Thesis deals with the current system of export promotion in the Czech Republic. Early in the 1990s the Czech Government realised there was a need for introduction of the system of export promotion similar to those offered by other European countries. The Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation ("EGAP") along with the Czech Export Bank ("CEB") were set up as Export Credit Agencies of the Czech Republic. This Thesis analyses and assesses products offered by both CEB and EGAP. For Czech business, export promotion is further complimented by the services of CzechTrade, the Government trade promotion agency, as well as by CzechInvest, Czech Centers and the Commercial and Economic Sections of Embassies and Consulates abroad. Cooperation between financial institutions in the...
Description of Xenopus tropicalis pre-Sertoli cells in tissue culture
Ševčíková Jonáková, Jana ; Tlapáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Drda Morávková, Alena (referee)
5 Abstract Xenopus tropicalis is an important model organism used in developmental and cell biology. Long term primary mixed cell culture, derived from juvenile testis of Xenopus tropicalis, is the first tissue culture of this specie. Characterization of this tissue culture is important for its further handling and subsequent experiments. The culture is composed of Sertoli cell precursors. Feeder layer of this cells enables long term germinal stem cell cultivation. Influence of condicioned medium plays important role during the cell culture cultivation. Result of this task approved effect of condicioned medium for cell culture growth. Cell culture and testis gene expression analyse revealed, that in process of Sertoli cell differentiation many growth and differentiation factors are involved. Presence of marker genes has been approved by RT-PCR and in situ hybridization. This in vitro system can contribute to clarification of different roles of pre-Sertoli and Sertoli cells in testis differentiation, and therefore it establishes a new spermatogenesis model offering the possibility to distinguish parts of the pre-Sertoli and Sertoli cells differentiation, which is difficult in mammal models. Keywords: Xenopus tropicalis, tissue culture, pre-Sertoli cells, Sertoli cells, testicular differentiation, gene expression
Criminological aspects of cybercrime
Ševčíková, Jana ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminological aspects of cybercrime Abstract The thesis concerns the offenders and victims of cybercrime as the selected criminological aspects of cybercrime. In the first part the basic terms which are used in this thesis are clarified - cybercrime, the offender and victim including the particularly vulnerable victims. The second part concerns the development of the image of the offender of cybercrime, his characteristics in comparison to the offenders of crimes committed out of cyberspace and his categorization. Particularly the attention was brought to the organized groups of criminals in the area of cybercrime and the motivation of the offender as one of the criminogenic factors. In the third part different victimological aspects of cybercrime including the impact of this kind of criminality on the particularly vulnerable victims are discussed. In relation to the latency of cybercrime the causes of this latency including the reasons for not reporting this kind of criminality...
Gene mutations affecting the development of human testes
Macháčová, Simona ; Šebková, Nataša (advisor) ; Ševčíková Jonáková, Jana (referee)
Development of mammalian sex organs is remarkable process. Both ovaries and testes rise from the same precursor but then differentiate into morphologically and functionally different structure. The determining factors that decide the fate of undifferentiated structures are not just the genes themselves but also the timing of transcription regulatory genes and specific amount of their products. Development of male and female gonads manages a large set of regulatory genes that interact with each other. Together it forms the gene regulatory network. Crucial role in male sex differentiation plays an SRY gene which regulates the time and quantity of the other factors expression. Even slight errors (mutations) in genes sequences of regulatory genes could change their expression. This leads to disruption of the development of sex organs or even death of the whole organism. Naturally occurring mutations and their phenotype in humans are suitable for studies of gene sex regulatory factors. Thanks to these studies we are able to detect the cause of many birth defects what is a first step toward their eventual treatment.
