Analysis of selected elements using ICP-OES
Ševčík, Radek
The research report summarizes the analysis of acid extracts measurements of copper artefacts. Concentrations of selected metals cations were determined using optical emission spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma.
Survey of mortars of the Romanesque chapel in the tower of Landštejn Castle
Válek, Jan ; Skružná, Olga ; Kozlovcev, Petr ; Frankeová, Dita ; Svoboda, Milan ; Ševčík, Radek ; Kotková, Kristýna
Four samples of floor mortars and two samples of plasters were analysed as a part of the survey in the Romanesque chapel located in the tower at Landštejn Castle. The aim was to characterize used raw materials, determine their ratio, characterize the porosity of mortars and compare mortars sorted to different phases of construction.
Application for operation of measuring devices in power engineering
Ševčík, Radek ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on application development with ARM processor architecture and Linux operating system. It uses cloud hosting services to build, test and deploy applications with container-based virtualization. The application communicates with smart meters on serial buses. It stores measurements in a database. It provides access to devices and measurements in internet network.
The formation of calcium carbonate polymorphs from concentrated salt solutions
Ševčík, Radek ; Mácová, Petra ; Viani, Alberto
This contribution is demonstrated the preliminary results of the study of the gel phase forming during the synthesis of calcium carbonate's polymorphs. Several samples were collected during the reaction and they were subsequently investigated with instrumental techniques e.g. scanning electron microscopy.
Material analyses of plaster samples of the historical building named “Nové Probošství”, Pražský hrad, nám. sv. Jiří č.p. 34.
Drdácký, Miloš ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Frankeová, Dita ; Hasníková, Hana ; Hauková, Petra ; Koudelková, Veronika ; Kozlovcev, Petr ; Ševčík, Radek ; Wolf, Benjamin
The report contains the results of the material analyses of plasters and stone samples taken from the facades and interior plasters of the historical building named “Nové Probošství” (Pražský hrad, nám. sv. Jiří č.p. 34).). The topic of the study was determination of the chemical composition and the microstructure of historical plasters and renders, sandstone petrography, porosity of materials by means of MIP, water absorption of plasters by tubes, the water content and the moisture distribution in masonry wall, the content and the chemical composition of water-soluble salts in plasters and renders. The results of the study serves as the basis for the future design of the building renovation and the restoration of the artistic elements.\n
Analysis of new renders and masonry damaged by moisture and water-soluble salts
Válek, Jan ; Skružná, Olga ; Ševčík, Radek ; Frankeová, Dita ; Nunes, Cristiana Lara
Research report about the state of new renders of the building Obecní Dvůr, Prague 1. Very high concentration of nitrates in masonry was identified as the reason of their bad state.
Smart Home Control System
Ševčík, Radek ; Fučík, Otto (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with unconventional solutions in the field of home automation systems such as the central unit consisting of a miniature computer. The work includes architecture design, visualisation and control of such system
Helping tool for AVR microcontrollers programming in C language
Ševčík, Radek ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This article describes AVR Wizard programme that was developed for AVR Studio. This software simpliefies microcontrollers (MCUs) programming in a way of general peripheries settings and registers settings for varied MCUs. AVR Wizard is able to generate C language-based MCU main programme structure with chosen settings. User-friendly handling and no longer detailed studies of MCU datasheets are also main advantage.
Analysis of soils
Šašek, Petr ; Viani, Alberto ; Ševčík, Radek ; Mácová, Petra ; Machová, Dita
High concentrations of solid particles in the air may cause health problems. Sources of such particles can be natural processes, as well as human activity (e.g. coal mining, etc). Another source of contamination is the so-called secondary dustiness, which arises from vortex of already settled solids and dispersion into the atmosphere. Secondary dustiness formation is mainly affected by the surface moisture. The increase of humidity leads to agglomeration of the particles, resulting to their falling on ground, thus inhibiting their distribution in the atmosphere. The aim of the study was to analyse the soil dust particles collected on the filters of impactor, with respect to particle size and composition.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of clay soils
Šašek, Petr ; Viani, Alberto ; Ševčík, Radek ; Fabeš, Roman ; Řehoř, M.
Clay minerals are a group of aluminum silicates with a layered structure, which is formed by tetrahedrally and octahedrally arranged molecules with cations of potassium, magnesium, sodium and others. By combining layers of octahedra and tetrahedra several types of layered structures may be produced, which can form various types of clay minerals in nature. Clay minerals are divided into three main groups: kaolinite, smectite and illite. The aim of the study was to qualitatively and quantitatively analyse the clay minerals in soil samples; the main objective was to determine the phase transition on the boundary of smectite and illite phases. For this purpose XRD analysis with Rietveld refinement was employed.
