Aerodynamic Optimization of Airfoils and Wings Using Fast Solver
Hájek, Jaroslav ; Šafařík, Pavel (advisor) ; Maršík, František (referee) ; Stebel, Jan (referee)
This thesis is concerned with aerodynamic optimization of airfoils and wings. It focuses at using very fast solvers based on hybrid potential methods to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of the airfoils and wings. Compared to more widely used CFD solvers which are more computationally demanding, use of fast solvers brings different possibilities and different problems to tackle, some of which are analyzed in this work. A state-of-the-art fast solver for airfoils is resented, and a fast solver for slender wings is developed, and some of its aspects are discussed. An innovative evolutionary optimization algorithm is presented and both solvers are hen utilized to solve real-life airfoil and wing optimization problems.

Šafařík, Pavel
Šafařík, P., The current image of financial consulting. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel university, 2016. This bachelor thesis is dealing with the current image of financial consulting. The first part focuses on the theoretical knowledge from this area. I specify the main terms, describe current situation and mention troubled areas. In practical part I realize quantitative method of research in the form of mystery shopping. I realize analysis of provided services based on realized meetings of client and financial consultant and evaluate the results.
Flow separation in blade cascades at off-design regimes of operation
Šafařík, Pavel
Particular results from experimental aerodynamic investigation of blade cascades at extreme angle of incidence are presented. Data for modelling of off-design performance of machines are derived from simplified concepts on flow parameters in flow parts of turbomachines. Simulation of these complex conditions in the wind tunnel enables to observe and measure important flow structures and their development. An extensive flow separation is one of significant aerodynamic phenomena at extreme incidence angles of flow into blade cascades. Results of investigation prove considerable increase of coefficient kinetic energy losses at occurrence of flow separation. At high speed flows, transonic instability can set in. Unsteady phenomena are observed namely at extreme flow incidence conditions corresponding to considerable off-design performance of turbomachines.

Design of Information System for Customer Support
Šafařík, Pavel ; Klíma, Miroslav (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis pays attention to the proposal of a system supporting the service and customer services. In its first chapter, the thesis describes the key field for customer services, their supply and usage, Furthermore, it speaks about the system of call centres, their types, possibilities and function. The next part submits an analysis of the existing situation in the service network and equipment of a particular company, the second part of the thesis includes a proposal of the complete system to solve the customer support from the point of view of the end users and the service partners. In the evaluating and concluding part, it focuses on the applicability of the system, its implementation and contributions.
Risk Management of a Project in a Particular Company
Šafařík, Pavel ; Zahradník, Ondřej (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
This work focuses on risk management in a company that develops its activities through online marketing. Review of literature defines important terms that correspond to a given topic. Mostly we speak of identification, analysis methods and subsequent elimination of the impact of risks. In the analytical part are identified all possible risks for the company, which was established through external and internal environment of the company. Using lessons learned from the practical part contains recommendations on the elimination of risk.
On Evaluation of Steam Flow Parameters From Experimental or Numerical Data Distribution on Traverse Plane
Nový, A. ; Šafařík, Pavel ; Jícha, D. ; Hajšman, M.
The paper deals with data reduction method for evaluation of the steam flow parameters. Integrals of mass flux and momentum flux are solved from experimental or numerical data distribution on the traverse plane. Balance equations of mass, momentum and energy, supplemented by equation of state of steam according to IAPWS-IF97, are forming the system of equations. The solution is performed using iterative procedure. The application of the data reduction method is presented and analysis of achieved results is performed.
Aerodynamic Data for Tip Section of Rotor with 52 Titanium Blades 1375 mm Long
Luxa, Martin ; Synáč, J. ; Šimurda, David ; Šafařík, Pavel
The paper deals with aerodynamic experimental investigation of prismatic blade cascade, that represents the tip section of the rotor comprising of 52 titanium blades 1375mm long. This rotor is designed for the last stage of low pressure cylinder of a large output steam turbine. Investigated tip section is characterised by supersonic inlet, large stagger angle and supersonic outlet. Selected data from optical and pneumatic measurements are presented.
Solution of parameters of compressible viscous fluid flow through a minichannel
Hála, Jindřich ; Šafařík, Pavel ; Luxa, Martin
In this paper the results of the experiment of the choked air flow through channel with characteristic dimensions: height 2mm, width 100mm, length 100mm will be presented. On the bases of the both pneumatic and optical measurements the development of the flow properties along the channel and the influence of the dissipative processes will be described. The results of the experiment will be compared to the theoretical results and to the results of the numerical simulation. At the end the comparison will be thoroughly discussed.
