The history of physical education and sport in unions of the Metoděj region of Orel association
ŠPINAR, Matěj
This Bachelor thesis deals with the processing of the history of physical education in the units of Methodius County of the Eagle Society from the beginnings of the formation of specific units to the present day. The first Christian social gym union was informally established at the beginning of the last century. The greatest development was achieved by the Eagle between the two world wars. Members of the Eagle have been the victims of repression on several occasions, and the association has been repeatedly suspended in its existence. Methoděj's County, which is based in Bystřice pod Pernštejn, was originally created under the name Horácká County. Its patron saint is Saint Methodius, co-patron of Europe, creator of Slavic writing and, above all, bearer of Christianity. Currently, the county continues its physical activity.
