Changes in the Activity of the Food Bank Following the Amendment to Act No. 110/97 Coll. ŠKABRADOVÁ, Kristýna The objective of this thesis is to identify changes in the area of food banks in the Czech Republic which were made after the amendment to the Act on Food and Tobacco Products had entered into effect.The practical part includes a survey performed at the level of 14 food banks which are members of the Czech Federation of Food Banks. In the next section of the practical part, changes effected in the Food Bank of the South Bohemian Region after the amendment entered into effect were identified. Food banks in the Czech Republic ŠKABRADOVÁ, Kristýna The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the operation of food banks in the Czech Republic. It is also to outline how the National Food Collection works, last but not least, to contribute to the network of food banks in the Czech Republic being complete, i.e. for there to be a food bank in every region. The theoretical part is about the food problem; specifically, it focuses on identifying hunger and malnutrition. It also defines food waste and offers a way to resolve this problem - food banks. The practical part consists of questionnaire survey, which is performed at the level of the eleven food banks in the Czech Republic. Another part of the practical part is observation of the National Food Collection. And the last part is the actual establishment of a missing Food Bank in the South Bohemian Region. Detailed record
