Distance learning in German language lessons

This diploma thesis responds to the newly emerging need for distance learning during the coronavirus crisis. The theoretical part presents the specifics of distance learning of foreign languages, while searches of professional texts and final reports of CSI for distance learning of German and an overview of computer applications that foreign language teachers have available to prepare their own teaching. The main emphasis is on the empirical part of the work. It analyzes the Team Deutsch textbook in great detail, including all materials available online, especially in terms of the possibilities of their use in distance learning. Selectively, on the basis of own methodology, suitable texts and suitable exercises are selected, on this basis a specific procedure for working with them in teaching is proposed. These materials are tested, monitored and evaluated on the basis of evaluation forms. Based on the acquired knowledge and using specific software and selected computer applications, own texts and exercises suitable for distance learning of German are designed and their use is verified in our own pedagogical practice.
The fairy tale in the propaganda film of the Nazi era

This thesis focuses on a traditional form of fairy tale and its updates as an instrument of Nazi propaganda. The main object of this analysis is a fairy tale as a literary and didactic genre. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part introduces general signs of fairy tale genre and main principals of propaganda manipulation in modern history. The practical part focuses on a comparison of selected Grimm brothers 'fairy tales and movie processing of Nazi propaganda. Furthermore, the analysis focuses on didactic intensions, literary and film language and forms of manipulation in a movie as an instrument of propaganda.
Reduplications in German, their Frequency in the German Press and the Ways of Translation into Czech

The bachelor thesis focuses on reduplications in German language and its Czech language equivalents. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part describes general definition of word formation, traditional and non-traditional word formation types, the concept of reduplication and its classification. The practical part focuses on reduplication in German language and specific Czech language equivalents with meanings. Reduplications are more specifically described in each subchapter, which are demonstrated from German press examples.
