Zoological Preparation Techniques in School Practice
Odcházelová, Tereza ; Mourek, Jan (referee) ; Šíma, Petr (referee)
This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. I have asked primary school teachers and high school teachers from all regions in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was sent online and 322 out of 1636 people responded. The answers tell us that teachers...
Observation of human sperm cell immunogenic properties
Cibulka, Jan ; Ulčová-Gallová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Fingerová, Helena (referee) ; Madar, Jindřich (referee) ; Šíma, Petr (referee)
The issue of human infertility is becoming increasingly pressing, especially in so- called industrially developed countries. Formally, we can share the infertility attributes between the male and the female partner (as a male and female infertility factor), but the problem finally affects the whole parental couple. Perhaps, due to the complexity of the female reproductive tract, it is estimated that over 40% of the reproductive failure is hidden in one or more of its parts. The "strong point" of the male factor is derived from the pathological sperm count. For the remaining 15 to 20% of causes, whether morphological or functional, cannot be to find either clearly or not at all. We talk about the otherwise unexplained infertility, that can be caused in up to 30% immunologically. Due to broad concept of immunology of reproduction, we have chosen literally as a probe into this issue in all respects unique spermatic cell that represents not only a carrier of genetic information, but also a set of antigenic structures. This cell seems to be perfect for this task, because of its availability to most basic laboratory techniques. We will try to familiarize ourselves with some of the obstacles that may prematurely end its mission, especially with the antibodies against its antigenic structures (ASA -...

Šíma, Petr ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Kincl, Petr (referee)
This thesis is focused on Best Practices of agile methodologies, their application to the most common problems of project management and their integration into PRINCE2. In the second part the most common problems of project management will be defined. Then every Best Practice will be applied to the defined problems and various aspects of PRINCE2. In the end the most usable Best Practices based on the results of research will be evaluated.
Analysis of electronics e-shops websites
Šíma, Petr ; Molnár, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Šebesta, Michal (referee)
This paper concerns with the analysis of Czech and foreign e-shops focused on selling electronics and computers. The paper will be focused especially on usability user testing, but there will be also analyzed accessibility, search engine optimization and technical processing of sites. This paper will be divided in the two main parts. In the first part there will be introduced theoretical basics of audit, where will be examined basic practices and principles used in these fields. In the second part there will be described single criteria of audit and there will be also presented studied sample. Then there will be separate audit, which consists of user evaluation tests and table of evaluation of single criteria. At the end of paper there will be recommendation for audited sites.
