Determination of neopterin and its derivatives by HPLC with fluorescence detection.
Říhová, Lenka ; Nováková, Lucie (advisor) ; Chocholoušová Havlíková, Lucie (referee)
TITLE: Determination of neopterin and its derivates by HPLC with fluorescence detection SUMMARY: Neopterin, a pteridine derivative, is produced in human organism by monocytes or by B - lymphocytes stimulated with interferon γ or interleukine - 2. These active substances (interferon γ, interleukine - 2) are connected with immune system activation. Neopterin measurement in body fluids can therefore serve for monitoring of activation of various components of immune system induced by cytokines. Immune activation occurs for example during many infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and malignant diseases. Recently the connection between neopterin and 7,8 - dihydroneopterin and intracellular oxidative stress and cell apoptosis was demonstrated in several scientific studies. Values of pteridines probably correlate with certain neurological disesases. Totally reduced form of biopterin serves as cofactor of some enzymes in human organism. In clinical practice the concentration of neopterin, eventually other related substances is expressed as the ratio neopterin / creatinine. This diploma thesis is dealing with the development of an analytical method for the determination of biologically active substances biopterin, 7,8 - dihydroneopterin, 5,6,7,8 - tetrahydroneopterin, neopterin and creatinine by high performance...
Vývoj investic v odvětví ICT v České republice
Říhová, Lenka
This diploma thesis deals with the development of investments in the information and communication technology sector in the Czech Republic. The ICT sector is analysed in terms of foreign direct investments in the sector, exports and imports of products and services. The general trends and impacts of major macroeconomic events such as the country's entry into the European Union and the financial crisis on this sector through quantitative methods are described. Význam medu na zdraví člověka
Říhová, Lenka
This bachelor thesis is a literary research on "Meaning of honey for human health" and focuses mainly on the content of important biologically active substances in honey and their influence on the human organism. In addition, the thesis describes the emergence, division and chemical composition of honey. These are especially substances of vegetal origin which, among other things, provide antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Honey can promote wound healing, aid in the treatment of certain diseases, or prevent oxidation, in other words, aging. The medium as such can not be regarded as a medicinal product, although it has demonstrably beneficial effects on the human organism. It can be perceived as a dietary supplement that provides our body with many valuable substances that support our health in daily use.
Vliv Sirtuinu1 na citlivost signální dráhy přes receptor Notch k aminokyselinám v potravě u Drosophily melanogaster
ŘÍHOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis investigates the connection between the Sirtuin1 protein (Sirt1) and the Notch signaling pathway in Drosophila melanogaster. We used RNAi to downregulate the Sirt1 gene expression in a tissue specific manner in the muscles, brain, fat body, and wing disc and tested the sensitivity of Notch pathway to dietary amino acids. We identified tissue specific requirements for Sirt1 protein to mediate the sensitivity of Notch pathway to amino acids.

Attitudes to National Language: Students from Upper Primary School
ŘÍHOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor thesis deals with the attitudes of a specific age group (11-15 years) the pupils of secondary school (2.stupeň ZŠ in Czech) to Czech language as a national language. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the division of Czech language, the characteristics of attitudes, and knowledge of attitudes of Czech native speakers to Czech national language found in available written sources. In the practical part, the attitudes of pupils of the 6th and 9th grade from two secondary schools are investigated with the help of a questionnaire. The main aim of my work is to capture typical attitudes with regard to age and gender of respondents.
Dědičné nádorové systémy u člověka
ŘÍHOVÁ, Lenka
The subject of this thesis is an overview of cancer syndromes in humans. The thesis focuses on some of the major genes that cause a predisposition to cancer. These genes were studied: BRCA1, BRCA2, BLM, ATM, PAL2, RAD51 paralogs, CHEK2, APC, TP53, MSH2, MLH1, Rb1, CDK4, CDKN2A. There are also presented some major representatives of hereditary cancer syndromes with a focus on the symptoms and long-term monitoring of the disease. These diseases were described: Ataxia-telangiectasia, Bloom syndrome, Li-Fraumeni syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis and Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. The thesis also deals with methods of detection of mutations within genetic diagnosis, in which especially New generation sequencing plays an important role.
