Use a cheap GPS receiver for precise landing guidance
Trčka, Ondřej ; Červenka, Miroslav (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Presented master‘s thesis deals with the use of cheap GPS receiver for precise landing guidance. The theoretical part of the master’s thesis contains basic information about global navigation satellite systems function and current use of these systems in air transportation including the description of the specified requirements for GNSS accuracy in aviation. The practical part contains comparison of available low-cost receivers at the market, selection of two receivers for verification measurements, verification measurements with the goal of verifying capability of vertical guidance on descending trajectory and identification of factors that affect measuring accuracy. Results are presented in tables and charts. The statistical analysis at the end provides overview of deviations and errors of both selected and tested receivers and allows to evaluate precision and usability for precise vertical guidance on landing trajectory.

Analysis of available applications on airspace in Central Europe and their use for route planning
Zgančík, Martin ; Červenka, Miroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
The thesis aims to create an overview and compare available commercial and non-commercial VFR flight planning applications. Additionally, to plan a flight within Central Europe with the minimal length of 1000km under VFR and to describe the pre-flight on-land preparation. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part of the thesis consists of the overview and comparison of selected applications for VFR flight planning. The second part describes and compares applications that map the airspace within Central Europe. The third part focuses on practical flight planning while using one of the aforementioned applications.

Puchmajer's poetry collections. The birth of contemporary Czech verse
Dobiáš, Dalibor ; Červenka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Jiráček, Pavel (referee) ; Langerová, Marie (referee)
The submitted work uses the example of poetry collections of A.J. Puchmajer (Sebrání básní a zpěvů /1795, 1797/ and Nové básně /1798, 1802, 1814) and other contemporary poetry, theoretic and critical works in the wider context of forming of new Czech prosody and meter system. The focus is put on treatise of verse problems in the traditions of Czech literary-scientific structuralism and development of this scientific tradition; further on the interpretation of relevant social, philological and poetological discourse of the end of 18th and beginning of 19th century with primary focus on literary works; and finally on the treatise of processes, by which the new Czech verse formed, in relation to older local literature of 18th century and current European context. In the general concept of literary science, the reform of the Czech verse, as performed by Slavist J. Dobrovský (Böhmische Prosodie, 1795), represents a milestone, perhaps even the beginning of new Czech prosody. Older "lower" syllabism (prosody directed by the constant number of syllables in a verse) and "higher" quantitative metrics (based on the alternation of long and short beats as in the ancient literature) were criticized by Dobrovský as archaic, insufficient (syllabism) or being contrary to the spirit of Czech language (quantitative metrics)....

Aerologic Probe Return Module

Layout optimisation method for active structural health monitoring
Červenka, Miroslav ; Koštial, Rostislav
This paper describes optimisation method for designing sensoric layout for Active Structural Health Monitoring (A-SHM) by Ultrasonic Guided Waves (UGW) on metal and non-metal (composite) materials. The SHM sensors need to be placed optimally in order to detect structural damage with high probability before the damage turns critical. Configuration of used optimisation algorithm for such task is not straightforward. Differential Evolution (DE) has two configuration parameters – the mutation factor F and the crossover rate CR – whose settings largely influence the solution quality the optimisation process can yield. For that matter we describe an elaborated a method to guide this selection towards good results using visual heat maps with the intent to select best DE’s variant and particular configuration to receive the most optimal SHM sensorics layout.

Jan Kameník's poetic work
El-Dunia, Zita ; Červenka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Vojvodík, Josef (referee) ; Žůrek, Jiří (referee)
The topic of my thesis is the body of poetic works by Jan Kameník, which was a pen-name of Ludmila Macešková (1898-1974). Jan Kameník's poetic works consist of five collections of poetry; they are frequently classified as unusually distinctive and unique in the Czech literary context. My thesis asks two related questions: "where does Jan Kameník fit in to the Czech literary context" and "what is the relationship between mystique and poetry in Kameník's literary work". My fundamental methodological point was an examination of the "aesthetic content" as applied by Josef Vojvodík in his monograph From Aestheticism to Eschaton. Models of the World and Existence in the Lyrical Work by Otokar Březina. Symbolic Paradigm Reconstruction (2004). In the case of Jan Kameník/ Ludmila Macešková, the issue of the subject comes forward in specific contexts and in relation to the male stylisation in a female author's texts under her male pen-name. To grasp the problem issues of the subject in Jan Kameník's poetry, I applied studies by Miroslav Červenka, Marie Kubínova and Vladimír Macura presented in the bulletin, Proměny subjektu (Metamorphoses of the Subject) (1994). By giving a view of a wider cultural and literary context, evaluation of Kameník research so far and my own interpretation of Kameník's poetry collections, I...
