Half-mode substrate integrated waveguide horn antenna

This thesis is about technology of half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) and options proposal of horn antenna fouden on this technology. Based on gained findings HMSIW horn antenna was modeled in program CST Microwave Studio. Main attention is focused on impact geometrical parameters of antenna on it´s emitting and on reflecting ratio at the entrance of antenna. Achieved gain of main lobe was 6 dBi, which is misalignmented to required direction of angle 30°. Antenna has a working frequency 10 GHz.

The impact of recent trends in dieting on consumer behaviour in Czech republic in marketing

This diploma thesis analyses the impact of alternative trends in dieting on consumer behaviour in Czech Republic. Alternative diets and healthy lifestyle are nowadays very popular topics and a lot of consumers are changing their preferences towards alternative types of dining. These changes are affecting producers which need to adapt their supply to market needs which is also affecting their marketing orientation towards these consumers. The aim of this thesis is to review actual trends in dieting and to show their impact on consumer behaviour. The aim of the thesis is also to suggest marketing recommendations which are connected with new trends and evaluate financial burden of particular trends on consumers. The thesis is focused on detailed description of actual trends in dieting, health impacts connected with the new trends and their actual occurrence in Czech Republic. Analysis is based on qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews and quantitative research in the form of questionnaire. The MML-TGI data and actual research papers are also used in the thesis. Based on the semi-structured interview and method of open coding are uncovered important categories which are affecting particular consumers. Subsequently based on the multi-regression analysis is estimated the impact of particular trends in dieting on healthy lifestyle of consumers. The results show that actual trends have significant impact on orientation of consumers towards healthy lifestyle. Based on the multi-regression analysis also other factors affecting consumers in a way to live healthier are discovered. From the results can be seen that the alternative trends do not need to be automatically connected with higher financial burden. According to the research results are suggested complex marketing recommendations. Marketing recommendations are focused on effective promotion of products, potential business opportunities and recommendations how to approach the consumers.

Development of alcoholism treatment on historical territories of Bohemia and Moravia, since second world war till 60th of 20th century, with fragments from 70th and 80th of 20th century, based on research interviews with contemporary witnesses: Arnostka Maťova, Petr Riesel and Jana Novotna

Background: Treatment of people with alcohol consumption problems has more than a hundred years old tradition on the historical territory of Bohemia and Moravia. The formation of majority of these services was interrupted during the first half of the 20th century by the world wars; during the second half of that century, however, specialised facilities were formed in large numbers (inpatient wards and AT counselling). Aim: The aim of this thesis is to describe and create a continuum, which maps and complements information about the origins of addiction treatment on the historical region of Bohemia and Moravia. Methods: A semi-structured interviews and research of historical documents was used to collect data; using the information from eyewitnesses and with help of literature lists from available works. Interviewees were: Arnoštka Maťová, Petr Riesel and Jana Novotná. Subsequently, the data for the analysis were openly coded. Then, data from the interviewers and from literature were matched and the result assigned on to a timeline. Results: A partial continuum was created, which maps fragments of origin of addictiology on the region of Bohemia and Moravia. Numerical evaluation of high temperature thermal energy storage with thermally conductive geopolymer

The paper evaluates the contribution of newly developed thermally conductive geopolymer (TCG) in high temperature energy thermal storage (HTTES). The work contains a review of energy storage principles with emphasis on storage in the form of heat. Evaluation of the benefits of the thermally conductive geopolymer was carried out by mathematical modeling. Both experiments and modeling itself progressed from simple to more complex. It was documented of knowledge and instrumentation experiments and their evaluation. Thanks to the mathematical modeling experiments are analyzed with simple rock samples, medium-sized experiment with a block of granite with artificial fracture filled by TCG to the actual prototype of thermal energy storage. It was demonstrated positive impact of TCG on distribution of heat in the storage core. The acquired knowledge was used to extrapolate the results and to predict accumulation options of medium-sized storage.

The impact of scrappage programme on national budget of Slovak Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show how the scrappage programme influenced national budget of Slovak Republic. This program was introduced in Slovak Republic in 2009 in order to stimulate automobile industry. This thesis analyses monthly data from 2003 to 2013 and explains how the sales of new passenger cars were influenced by specific factors. Exogenous variables used in the model are dummy variable "scrappage", lagged GDP per capita, interest rate, average price of the long-term best-selling car Škoda Fabia and the price of fuel. Selection of the variables is mainly based on studies by Carlson (1978), Litzman, Kouba, Dušková (2012), Nawi et al. (2013), Carlson, Umble (1980) a Lam, Tam (2002). The effect of introducing scrappage on sales of cars in particular months is estimated by the econometric model. Based on the model it is quantified how the scrappage programme influenced the national budget. Estimated results suggest that total impact of the scrappage programme was negative for the national budget.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine the market value of the company Metrostav a.s. to the date 1.1.2009. Final market value represents the potential market price for which the owners could sell this company to the date of evaluation. The diploma thesis starts with brief introduction of the company. Afterwards strategic analysis follows which is focused on analysis of profit potential and its result is the prediction of sales in the near future. In financial analysis are examined the financial conditions of the company on the basis of absolute, ratio and global indicators. Financial plan is based on the prediction of sales, which was estimated within strategic analysis. The company is evaluated using two-phase discounted cash flow method in the version of FCFF. The diploma thesis is ended by risk analysis of assessment value of company by using software program Crystal Ball.
