Historic causes and context of the present position of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech society

(in English) This thesis is focused on historic causes and context of contemporary position of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech society. To chosen problematics I approach through a concept of spirituality which enables us to have a preview on other phenomena and processes that disrupted catholic religiosity. My thesis starts in the Enlightenment which has had a quite underlying ideological influence on the position churches all over the Europe, while I complemented this chapter by secularization aspects of Judeo-Christian tradition. The next chapter dedicating to 19. century is primarily focused on modernization processes (especially Czech nationalism) which could replace or suppressed traditional religiosity. The short 20. century is devided on formation of relationship between state, church and society (The First Republic and communist period) and simoustaneously in framework of this part it is introduced postmodern transformation of religion whose ,,offshoots" characterise present Czech spirituality. Digital Generation. Involvement of Information and Communication Technology in Educational Process

Diploma thesis called "Digital Generation. Involvement of Information and Communication Technology in Educational Process" is focused on the role of computers in a life of adolescents. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is evolving very fast and transform our everyday life. The aims of the thesis are (1) to explore the change of "digital generation" in Czech society in the beginning of 21 century, (2) to find out if there is a correlation between playing computer games and school results and (3) to identify which factors influence computer literacy. In order to achieve those aims, the comparative secondary analysis of international researches of pupils PISA 2003, 2012 and research focused on computer and information literacy - ICILS 2013were used. The results suggest that between 2003 and 2013 digital possession and using of ICT by fifteen year old pupils increased, so digital generation Y and Z were identified in Czech society. Playing of computer games remains domain of boys. Computer and information literacy increases with experience with computers, self- esteem of basic computer skills and with a higher society status of parents. Russia in a context of a globalization: specificity of historical development and it's alternative models by A. S. Panarin

This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis based on the Panarin's creation Russia's position in the conditions of globalization and the intensification of intercultural, inter- civilizational relations. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is devoted to Panarin's critics of globalization. Among the global problems, which Panarin studies, belongs deepening of the global inequality (between developed countries of the so-called First World (USA, Western Europe, Japan and others), shaping of consumer society, environmental issues, westernization of non-Western societies, exterritorialisation of elites, weakening of states etc. In the second part goes about the possibilities of solving the global problems. Panarin sees these options in more closely familiarization with the cultural heritage of non-Western civilizations. In this part in this context goes about the Panarin's vision of relations between the West and the East in the course of human history and about which potential for their mutual dialogue exists at the beginning of XXI century. The forms of implementation of the principles of community education in practice. Case study of a community school.

2 Abstract The mail aim of this thesis is to set the concept of community education in the broader perspective of historical sociology and to do a case study to find out in which ways the selected Czech primary community school fulfils the principles of community education in practice. Firstly, the work focuses on the general presenta- tion of basic concepts, which are associated with community education (terms of education and community). This is followed by a description and analysis of the principles of community education and by an overview of its historical roots, first abroad and then in the Czech Republic. Attention is also paid to organizations which try to implement community education in the Czech Republic with emphasis on the role and cooperation of primary schools and civil society organizations. After this theoretically oriented part follows the empirical part, which is introduced by the design of the case study. Then the description of the community primary school is provided and results of the research are introduced. Islamic civilization: A comparison of representative interpretations

Diploma thesis "Islamic civilization: A comparison of representative interpretations" presents theoretical and historical approach to comparative study of Islamic society by interpretation and comparison of principal scholars in which the author lays emphasis on basic social patterns of this society in long-term and dynamic development as well as on its role within modernization transformations. The main goal is to contribute by selective reflexion to understanding of the long-term historical experiences, its peculiar world views and institutional patterns as well as the ways it participates in history of the world. For this purpose the author employs interpretations and comparisons of the selected authors with particular focus on conception of Muslim society in the writings of Ernest Gellner. The first part is engaged in definition of Islamic civilization concept as one of the largest socio-cultural complexes in Eurasian macro-region. The second part focuses on political traditions and transformations as well as to some extent on economic structure of Islamic civilization. The last part pursues Islamic society as prospective alternative modernity in comparison to diverse conceptions of Islam interpretations proposed by other social science scholars.
