SOFA 2 graphical tools improvement
Kudláček, Ondřej ; Malohlava, Michal (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
This enhancement of component system SOFA 2 is focused on the graphical interface. SOFA 2 is based on Eclipse Modeling Framework, through which is constructed a hierarchical model of the system. The extension of SOFA 2 developed in this project provides - via the graphical interface tools for the so called Deployment Plan - an editing of applications developed by SOFA 2 and copying of their components between repositories. The graphical interface is created as a stand-alone program or as a plug-in for the Eclipse platform. The enhancement is added to the management console called MConsole, which allows editing models and applications developed in SOFA 2. The whole library is programmed in the Java programming language. The graphical environment is build on JFace library for EMF-based models editors. EMF.Edit framework and its library Command are used for the editation of the models.
SPARQL compiler for Bobox
Čermák, Miroslav ; Dokulil, Jiří (advisor) ; Zavoral, Filip (referee)
The goal of the work is to design and implement a SPARQL compiler for the Bobox system. In addition to lexical and syntactic analysis corresponding to W3C standard for SPARQL language, it performs semantic analysis and optimization of queries. Compiler will constuct an appropriate model for execution in Bobox, that depends on the physical database schema.
Information System for Conference Planning
Malý, Petr ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
The subject of this thesis is to design and implement an information system usable in the area of science conferences. The work introduces the reader into issue that had to be solved during the development. It will also familiarise the reader with application's structure and give the instructions for use. The program allows the user to gather and manipulate information about science conferences. The system also allows managing assignment of monetary resources and their connections with individual conferences. Therefore, it offers creation of monetary resources overviews.
Adaptive formations for virtual agents
Švagerka, Michal ; Plch, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
There is a growing number of virtual agents in today's virtual worlds. This is directly related to the need of coordinating their behavior and movement. In this work we design algorithms to maintain desired formation of agents while moving through difficult terrain. The methods we study should maintain the requirements of the formation as well as traverse along various obstacles. We then use an arbitrary fitness function to compare the performance of these methods on typical scenarios.
The European Commission as an actor during the crises solutions
Čermák, Miroslav ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
More than ten years after the largest economic crisis, which stroke the European Union in 2008 and thoroughly tested its readiness and ability to act, Europe was hit by a global pandemic of COVID-19. Because of this crisis, the European Union and its institutions faced a number of challenges, stemming from unprecedented measures imposed to tackle it. In contrast with the economic crisis, it was not only the European industrial and financial sectors but also more segments, essential to the functioning of the European Union itself, which were affected by the recent crisis. The aim of this thesis is to point out the differences of impacts of the two crisis and to find out the role played by the European Commission during the process of dealing with them.

Analysis of the 2014 European Parliamentary election in Great Britain
Čermák, Miroslav ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis Analysis of European Parliament Elections 2014 focuses on topic of the theory of second-order elections which is put into context of the United Kingdom's political system. At first the theory of second-order elections is introduced for using on the examples of British politics. Thesis tries to answer the question whether the European Parliament Elections 2014 could be find as a second-order elections. Text analyzes turnout and results of single british political parties in past European Parliament Elections and compares these statistics to results of European Parliament Elections 2009 and General Elections 2010. Thesis works with three component research criteria which analyzes single hypotheses in way of theory of second- order elections. The results of every single criterion that tend to be used correctly. So thesis leads to conclusion that the European Parliament Elections 2014 could be find as a second order elections.
Simulation of Multi-UAV Cooperative Surveillance Using Pogamut and USARSim
Dufek, Jan ; Plch, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to introduce a simulation platform, which has been developed utilizing Pogamut and USARSim, for cooperative aerial surveillance using multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The graphical user interface (GUI) of the simulator contains the automatically created bird's eye view of a 3D virtual environment. This is used to enter locations and parameters of objects (UAVs, charging stations and areas) and also to visualize the process of a simulation. The thesis proposes a system for the analysis of the quality of surveillance, whose results are presented in the GUI in the form of a time graph and a heat map. Part of the proposed platform is a UAV objective-based control system including charging stations scheduling. A total of seven algorithms for cooperative surveillance has been implemented, tested in three different scenarios and analyzed for coverage quality. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
