Intimate Partner Violence in Adolescent Relationships
Čechová, Tereza ; Čáp, David (advisor) ; Šulová, Lenka (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to map out the consequences that experience with intimate partner violence can leave in the period of adolescence on the mental and physical condition of its victims, or generally on the quality of their life. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to acquaint readers with the phenomenon of intimate partner violence in a broad- spectrum. However, the most important passage is a chapter focusing on the consequences of intimate partner violence on the psychological and somatic manifestations and behaviour of its victims and development of their subsequent partnerships. This chapter is followed by realized quantitative research, which is divided into three separate thematic sections. The first part of the research finds out whether the research group of respondents with experience with violent partnership in the period of adolescence experienced significantly more of the selected consequences compared to the research group of respondents without experience with the violent relationship in this development period. As part of the complementary data analysis 1, it is discussed whether certain aspects, which are characteristic for the consequences of intimate partner violence, could also be experienced by individuals because of problematic peer relationships and,...
Summer resorts Karlštejn and Srbsko. Contribution to study of transformation suburban landscape during the period of industrialization
Čechová, Tereza ; Matoušek, Václav (advisor) ; Sekyrková, Milada (referee)
This diploma thesis is about recreational activities of citizens of Prague in the period from the second half of 19th century through the second half of 20th century. It focuses on the era of industrialization, in which the suburban landscape underwent many changes, mainly thanks to new development of the city. This thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to the terms of industrialization and industrial revolution. It moreover deals with stratification of the society, focusing on the middle class, and describes recreational activities in different resorts. From the recreational activities, tramping and settlement establishing are specifically described. The empirical part is dedicated to two recreational resorts, Karlštejn and Srbsko, which are one train station apart from each other. In each case there is a description of the location of the resort. The description of the original inhabitants, recreational objects, current inhabitants and their important buildings and the cottage areas is following. One chapter is about a particular tramping settlement in Srbsko called "Valley of Dread". The paper analyzes what builders were chosen by the holiday-makers and also the social characteristics of the holiday-makers. An important chapter is about...
Artificial recharge of surface water to aquifer
Čechová, Tereza ; Hrkal, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Bruthans, Jiří (referee)
Artificial recharge of surface water to aquifer Tereza Čechová, Geotechnologie Abstract: The bachelor thesis is devoted to groundwater recharge. The source of groundwater is infiltration of atmospheric precipitation. The study deals with the use of controlled artificial recharge in the Czech Republic and the other countries in the Word.

Study of metabolism air pollutants and mutagens 3-nitrobenzanthrone and 2-nitrobenzanthrone
Čechová, Tereza ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor) ; Martínek, Václav (referee)
Nitroaromatic compounds are mutagenic and carcinogenic substances present in environment. Most of nitroaromatic compounds are potent mutagens in bacterial and mammalian systems. They are also carcinogens causing development of tumors, primarily in the liver, lung and mammary glands. 3-Nitrobenzanthrone (3-NBA, 3-nitro-7H-benz [de] anthracene-7-one) is one of the polycyclic aromatic nitro compounds possesing high toxic effects. 3-NBA is an environmental pollutant present in diesel exhaust and was also detected in soil and in rain water. 2-Nitrobenzanthrone (2-NBA, 2-nitro-7H-benz [de] anthracene-7-one) is an isomer 3-NBA, which also occurs as a pollutant in air. Although the 2-NBA is a weakly toxic substance, its high abundance in air could exhibit a high health risk to humans. This thesis investigates the metabolism of 3-NBA and its isomeric derivate, isomer 2 NBA, under anaerobic and aerobic conditions. To study the metabolism of these compounds, microsomal systems isolated from the liver of rats pretreated with Sudanem I, -naphthoflavone, phenobarbital, ethanol and pregnenolon 16-carbonitrile (PCN), the inducers of cytochromes P450 1A, 2B, 2E1 and 3A, were used. We also used mouse models, a control mouse line (wild type WT) and mice with deleted gene of NADPH:CYP reductase in the liver, thus absenting...
Importance of Education in the Fight against Corruption
Čechová Humpolcová, Tereza ; Bendl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
This thesis is concentrated to problems anti-corruption education. The notion of corruption, its causes and sorts, norms of corruption, the relation of corruption with ethics, sociology, economics and law. The place is given also to important differences between the situation in countries with an unbroken continuity of democracy. The sociological research was conducted to determine the attitudes of students to corruption. On the basis of defined sets of problems which should be the focus of anti-corruption education and formulated recommendations based on the requirements of pro-social education. Key words: sociological research, analysis, corruption, importance of anti-corruption education, teacher, student
Mechanism of cancerogenic effect of nitroaromates pollutants in present environment
Čechová, Tereza ; Svobodová, Martina (referee) ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor)
Nitroaromatic compounds are mutagenic and carcinogenic substances present in all environmental compartments. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons react with nitrogen oxides to form nitroaromatics under the conditions that might be expected in polluted air and in combustion processes (fossil fuel combustion, waste heat recovery, metal processing, etc.). Most of nitroaromatic compounds are potent mutagens in bacterial and mammalian systems. They are also carcinogens causing cancer, primarily in the liver, lungs and mammary glands. Nitrobenzanthrones (NBA) are nitroaromatic compounds which were recently found in environmental compartments, especially in the air. 3-Nitrobenzanthrone (3-NBA, 3-nitro-7H-benz [de] anthracene-7-one) is one of the polycyclic aromatic nitro compounds with high toxic effects. 3-NBA is present in environmental pollution, in diesel exhaust and was also detected in soil and in rain water. Bachelor's thesis describes the metabolism of this substance and it also studies its mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. This work also compares the mutagenic and carcinogenic effects of 3-NBA and its derivative, isomer 2-nitrobenzanthrone (2-NBA, 2-nitro-7H-benz [de] anthracene-7-one), which also occurs as a pollutant in air.
