Viscoelastic deformation of planetary bodies
Pilař, Štěpán ; Čadek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
Loading a planet's surface causes it to deform. The evolution of this deformation is influenced by the internal structure of the planet. In this thesis we use a one-dimensional numerical model of Maxwell viscoelastic deformation of a spherical shell to test the effect of a few selected parameters of lithosphere and mantle on the specific case of loading of the Martian surface by the North Polar cap. The ice sheet is less than 10 million years old and the measured surface deformation under it is about 100 m. We chose elastic lithosphere thickness and viscous profile of the lithosphere and mantle as the model parameters to be tested, the other parameters according to the results of InSight mission. We made the viscosity profile either piecewise constant or defined by an Arrhenius formula. The magnitude of deformation is mostly influenced by the elastic lithosphere thickness. To realize the deformation observed on Mars, our models with piecewise constant viscosity require the lithospheric thickness to be Te = 200 − 300 km, Arrhenius formula based models require Te ≥ 300 km.
Evolution of magmatic oceans in tidally heated terrestrial exoplanets
Verkinová, Natália ; Běhounková, Marie (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
The thesis focuses on the study of terrestrial exoplanets that are tidally heated, which can give rise to the formation of magma oceans. The primary objective is to analyze the impact and evolution of the magma ocean and thermal processes in two distinct celestial bodies: an Earth-like body and an Io-like body. We model parametrical evolution of thermal and tidal dissipation that are coupled. As part of the thesis, we investigated the influence of orbital, rheological parameters and the effect of surface temperature on the thermal evolution of the mantle. We included scaling relations developed for models heated from below as well as from within. If the tidal heating is sufficiently intense to induce the presence of a molten layer within the body, then mechanical decoupling of part of the mantle occurs, and thus the tidal response changes and less energy starts to dissipate in the body. Two possible cases have been considered for melt distribution: the case where all the melt is retained in the mantle, and the case where some of the melt reaches the surface and hence more efficient heat transfer occurs. 1
Individual work with a life story using creative reminiscence techniques
Křivohlávková, Eva ; Janečková, Hana (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Individual Life Story Work Using Creative Reminiscence Techniques" builds on the premise that reminiscence is very important not only for personal integrity of the individual, but can be beneficial in communication of seniors in overcoming barriers caused by external or internal factors. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses reminiscence as a targeted work with memories and describes its different approaches and methods, it also focuses on the use of reminiscence with a person with dementia. The practical part describes two examples of good practice. The first one is reminiscence with a person with dementia using a life story book and a second one presents distant form of reminiscing through modern technologies. Keywords memories, memory, reminiscence, dementia, interview, creative techniques
Activation of older adults at home - example of care and respite service Caritas Příbram
Toužimská, Zuzana ; Janečková, Hana (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of activation of seniors in the home environment, who use the relief service of Caritas Příbram. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part has a total of 7 chapters dealing with topics such as old age, changes associated with this period of life, dementia as one of the possible disabilities in old age. It introduces the types of social services and care for the elderly, acquainted with activities that can be implemented when working with seniors. It is important to focus on individual planning as integral part of providing social services. The thesis also last describes the social service provider Charita Příbram and its relief service. The practical part is based on qualitative methods, namely the participatory observation in the home environment of clients of the relief service Charita Příbram with a combination of non-standardized interviews together with document analysis. The aim of the thesis is to find out and describe how the care of selected clients of the relief service of Charita Příbram in the home environment with emphasis on the applied activation methods, and to evaluate whether the scope of these services covers the individual needs, resources and possibilities of the client. Key words older adults,...
Impact of Faith in God on Life Contentment in Old Age
Worschová, Eva ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Čihánková, Ivana (referee)
This bachelor work attempts to prove the positive impact of faith in God on life contentment in old age. The work contains four main chapters. The introduction brings definition of the term old age. The second chapter discusses the matters of life contentment and specifies criteria for life satisfaction in old age. The subject of the third chapter is faith. This chapter focuses on faith from the view of different religions, in more details it is dedicated to the Christian faith. The final chapter of this work then tries to prove that faith can help older people to fulfill the specified criteria of life satisfaction. For that purpose the theoretical knowledge of various authors is used and excerpts from the interviews, which were used for this work. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The Needs of Families Carying for Seniors Suffering by Dementia
Vintrlíková, Lucie ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
The needs of families carying for seniors suffering by dementia. The needs of families carying for old persons with dementia are serious social issue. The goal of my bachelor s work is to describe those needs with respect to their fulfilment by the field respiting care of Czech alzheimer society (later ČALS). I try to investigate if carying families know their needs and how are their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care. I ve chosen the field respiting care provided by ČALS. I ve organised four personal sessions with families members carying for the senior with dementia. On the basis of sessions I have established specific needs of families members carying for this kind of seniors and I have described how were their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care by ČALS. There are enclosures at the end of my work containing literal transcritions of all four sessions, description and characteristic of involved persons. My work discovery allows another point of view of carying persons needs by care providers.
The Transition from the Working Process to the Retirement
Štanclová, Marie ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Dočkal, Jan (referee)
This work deals with the changes that take place in people already have retired. It addresses in particular the impact on their life in the last stage of life. Subsequently, a managing retirement as it is when people feel, describes the changes that take place in humans. Then mentions about retirement, pension types. Describes how it can be prepaired, adaptation. It talks about the roles that one has prior to retirement and beyond. Describes the reaction of older people themselves, their perception of this stage and at the same time, how they react to their surroundings. All information has been collected from respondents who have passed retirement. The structured interview was made with them and the obtained informations were subsequently processed.
The Influence of the Musical Group The Tap Tap on the Life of People with Physical Disability
Pospíšilová, Martina ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Hubertová, Lucie (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of music activities to the life and personality of a person with disabilities. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical part and practical one. Basic terminology of physical handicap is shortly defined in the theoretical part. There are described the characteristics of quality of life and the elements that it can influence. More extensive part is devoted to basic music terminology, the benefits of music in mental and socialization process of human development. Especially in adolescence. The thesis continues with a chapter on personality development of people with physical disabilities in the process of socialization, focusing on socialization influences of organized groups. Continues with a description of group relationships with their characteristic features. The conclusion of theoretical part contains characteristics and activities of the musical group The Tap Tap. Continues with a description activities of the Civic Association Tap, which is strongly linked with musical group. The experimental part includes research methodology, description and characteristics of the areas in which the research focuses. It also includes the analysis and interpretation of eight structured interviews that were conducted with eight disabled musicians. Powered by TCPDF...
