Principy cirkulární ekonomiky v provozu školy
ČAPKOVÁ, Markéta
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to find out the current regulations and methodologies concerning the circular economy in educational institutions and at the same time to suggest how the operation of a school can introduce the principles of the circular economy into their daily operation. A partial goal is to create a general manual, according to which the schools involved could switch to circular economy by simple steps.
Genetical analysis of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas
Čapková, Markéta ; Plzák, Jan (advisor) ; Smilek, Pavel (referee) ; Čelakovský, Petr (referee)
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma is the fifth most common cancer worldwide. They are associated with high morbidity and mortality. Despite considerable advances in surgical and oncological treatment over the past two decades, overall treatment outcome has only slightly improved. In my thesis I focused on serum gene expression analysis of head and neck cancer patients, which followed the tissue gene expression analysis in same patients. Further we investigated gene expression analysis in tumour stroma, which is now considered as significant factor in cancer initiation and progression. We revealed several candidate genes, which are involved in signalling pathways connected with cell differentiation and proliferation and are involved in apoptotic pathway (BCl-2, BCl-XL a MAX). As well we detected down-regulation of the main tumour suppressor p 53 protein. In peritumoural tissue we detected overexpression of cytokines typical for embryonal development and ectoderm differentiation - IGF-2 and BMP-4, which significantly influence the phenotype of normal keratinocytes. Further we identified several candidate genes relating with overexpression of Gal-1 in stromal myofibroblasts rich tissue (SPIN1, FUSIP1, TRIM23, SLC25A40, PTPLAD1, MP3K2). HNSCC is a heterogeneous disease despite the presence of...
Mitochondrial permeability transition pore
Sereghy, Ursula ; Hansíková, Hana (advisor) ; Čapková, Markéta (referee)
The mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP) is highly evolutionarily conserved channel found in the inner membrane of mitochondria. This pore is non-selectively permeable for molecules below 1,5 kD. Consequences of the pore opening due to an increase of Ca2+ or reactive oxygen species (ROS) and following depolarization of the membrane involve a disruption of the proton gradient, decrease in the production of ATP and prevalently a cell death. Death of a cell as a result of the mPTP opening is a physiopathological mechanism which follows ischemic diseases and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimers and Huntingtons disease. Study of a structure and function of mPTP is essential for the research of mechanisms and progression of diseases, and it is crucial for the development of responding drugs and an overall decrease in the morbidity of the patients. This work compiles the course of the research into structure and function of the channel under physiological and pathological conditions and briefly puts down some of the experimental methods.
The History of cykling Peace race since year 1968
ČAPKOVÁ, Markéta
The graduation thesis discusses the history of cycling Peace race since year 1968 to the present. The main purpose is to analyze the particular year of the race, which is held every year in the month of May. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the brief outline of cycling history in the world and the history of stage cycling races in Europe. The second part describes a brief outline of socio economic conditions in the countries of central and eastern Europe since 1968 to the present. The third chapter deals with a brief overview of the Peace Race since his inception in 1948. The following and also the main chapter is focused on the detailed description of the history of each year since 1968, the description of their stages, the individual tracks and the results of the races. The last chapter is devoted to a brief overview of the stage races, also known as the Race of Peace, which goes up to the present.

The History of basketball in South Bohemia
ČAPKOVÁ, Markéta
Thesis topic is the history of basketball in South Bohemia starting since formation until the present day. Thesis is divided into four chapters. First one is dedicated to survey knowledges. Second part describes the history of basketball in South Bohemia from formation until 1945. Third section follows in footsteps of previous section and maps the history of basketball in South Bohemia since 1945 until 1989.
