Noisy loneliness like an image of the world

The author expressed through the baladic story of the protagonist, an original plebeian philosopher, an anxiety about the destruction of values of the thousend-years-old eurasian culture in the conflict with the contemporary antihuman global power of the technology and money.

The article describes the overwhelmingly positive relationship of several representatives of Czech interwarartistic avantgarde (Záviš Kalandra, Vladislav Vančura, Jiří Voskovec, Vítězslav Nezval and Karel Teige), to the work and personality of T.G. Masaryk, and emphasises their negative attitude to ultra-radical and nihilistic judgements about Masaryk's historical role in Czech society.
