Calls With Sexual Themes On Safety Line

The thesis bearing the name "Calls With Sexual Themes On The Safety Line" in its theoretical part first briefly describes history of telephone crisis intervention in the Czech republic and also in the world, then focuses on sexual development of the child, expert advices how to effectively talk to child about sex and finally on calls with sexual themes on the Safety Line where is used of statistical data of the organization. The theoretical part is followed by a survey consisting of two separate parts: 1) questionnaires which were distributed to the consultants of the Safety Line in category I.- III.; 2) personal interviews conducted with selected consultants. The questionnaires focused on sexual themes of the calls on the Safety Line more generally, in contrary individual interviews examined more specifically what are primarily the feelings of consultants when they are talking with children about sexual topics, which kind of calls are most difficult for them and what is their help during these tough calls. Here it is worth to note that in the interviews there weren't discussed concrete calls with real children's clients, the discussion was just about the different types of calls because of prevention of the damage to the interests of the clients or organization. Paradoxes of support help and care

The opener of this thesis is a pilot long-term study of a family with a handicapped member. The author has followed this family for more than six years. Following chapters of the thesis include descriptions of different experiences of members of this family. In order to understand specific needs of the family the thesis defines basic concepts such as care, help and support. Confusion of these notions causes dissipation of borders between the individual needs of different family members. Next chapter deals with the use of power in different supporting professions, concluding that its application is desirable under certain circumstances. It demonstrates that the possession of power doesn't necessary lead to manipulation of individuals. The last chapter covers the need of humane approach in supportive professions as has been proven in literature. This quality is highly beneficial to the client.
The personal experience of Specific Learning Difficulties

The dissertation "Personal Experience of Specific Learning Disabilities" is devoted to the specific issue of the personal experience of the characteristic primary and secondary manifestations of specific learning disabilities (SLD). The dissertation is conceived as a theoretical-empirical one. The theoretical part of the thesis in seven chapters through a literature search elaborates the folowing topics of: social reality, language, learning, learning potential, specific learning disabilities and the role of the student-teacher and the school. Chapter nine serves as a bridge between the theoretical and empirical part of the thesis and reflects on current research and projects. The empirical part of the thesis presents qualitative research exploring the issue of personal experience of specific learning disabilities. The main aim of the research is to convey and describe an authentic experience of the manifestations of specific learning disabilities leading to the development of an understanding of the special educational needs of pupils with SLD. Social Work with Sexuality of Adults with Intellectual Disabilities in Sheltered Housing

In my diploma thesis I expressed the importance of sexuality for every human bein . Sexual health is part of general health conditions and is a necessary condition of a quality life. Every human has the guaranteed right to enjoy sexuality freely, on condition that no one is constrained. Sexual rights are guaranteed by Bill of Rights, international agreements and also by documents issued by Czech government. I have theoretically described the goals, basic assumptions and educational topics in the area of sexuality of people with mental disabilities. For practical reasons I have included the illustrative tools/techniques for social work with sexuality. I have described the personality of an expert, who is occupied with the sexuality of mentally disabled and ethical rules, to which he/she is obliged to follow. I have tried to compare Czech and foreign scholar literature. I have described the methods of working with sexuality in a concrete Sheltered Housing. As a research method I used the analysis of internal documents, especially Sexual report and recorded interviews. When describing social work with sexuality I have relied mainly on my own experiences. The motivational interview Working on change with the non-alcoholic drug users in a low-threshold facility

The main theme of this thesis is the description of the social technique - the motivational interview, which is used when working with drug addicted persons in low-threshold facilities. The thesis first covers the field of drugs and drug addiction. Then it focuses on the low-threshold programs in the drug care system, describing the principles of Harm Reduction and Public Health that constitute the main pillars and the basic philosophy of these facilities. The main part of the whole thesis is the chapter about the motivational interview, its differentiation from other approaches used in counseling and description of the basic principles, strategies and techniques.
The exercise of deaf people in the employment market

This work deals with people who are hearing impaired and their possibilities of employment. Having a hearing disability puts this group at much higher risk of unemployment. The theoretical section of this paper is focused on the possible causes of this phenomenon.
