Possible ways of improving financial literacy of citizens by the non-profit sector

The title of my thesis is "The potential of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens". The goal of my thesis is to analyze and evaluate the activity of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens. It is also focusing on the relation between the government, the for-profit and the non-profit sector in the field of financial literacy. I divided my thesis into six chapters. In the first chapter I defined the research problem, set the goals of my thesis and defined the research questions. In the second chapter I focused on the methodology and the definition of my information resources. For the purpose of this thesis I chose the semi-standardized interview, the analysis of participants and the analysis of documents. In the second part of this chapter I made the review of the information resources which I used for this thesis. My thesis is based on the theory of "the triangle" of the market, the government and the civil society, the concept of the social accounting and the benefits and failures of the non-profit sector. First I focused on the government policy in the field of increasing the financial literacy of citizens. Public employment services from the perspective of unemployed people

The bachelor thesis deals with the qualitative research issues of perception and evaluation of public employment services from the long term unemployed job seekers point of view. Attention is focused on their own personal experiences with Job centre staff and with some provided services, namely with retraining, job clubs, placement and counselling. Also, the goal is to find out if the job seekers themselves believe in finding a job via this institution, alternatively if they notice some barriers within functioning of the Job centre that would hinder them from finding a job. This paper is not limited only to the statements of facts but seeks to identify at least partly the phenomenons that can be hidden behind these evaluations and because of this reason there was qualitative method used in the research.

Construction of functional adult education system on the basis comparative analysis selected EU countries

Práce se věnuje problematice zabezpečení fungujícího systému dalšího vzdělávání dospělých. Záměrem práce je vymezit hlavní konstrukční prvky tohoto systému. Východiskem pro stanovení jednotlivých systémotvorných prvků se stala komparační analýza systémů vzdělávání dospělých ve vybraných zemích EU. Reprezentativní skupina byla vybrána na základě srovnání stavu vzdělávání dospělých v jednotlivých zemích EU. Mezinárodní komparace poznatků získaných sekundární analýzou zdrojových materiálů, především zahraniční literatury, statistických údajů a výzkumných zpráv odborných institucí, představuje na příkladech konkrétních zemí hlavní části utvářející strukturu systému dalšího vzdělávání. Analytická zjištění jsou následně využita pro zpracování dalších částí práce, které se zabývají detailním rozpracováním jednotlivých hlavních konstrukčních prvků systému dalšího vzdělávání a sestavením možného návrhu systému vzdělávání dospělých v podmínkách ČR.

Support of the human capital investment as an integral part of the knowledge society development

Diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi podpory investic do lidského kapitálu v rámci celoživotního učení, jenž je charakteristickým znakem společnosti založené na znalostech a jejich rozvoji. Po přestavení některých teoretických pohledů na lidský kapitál je poukázáno na jeho význam ve znalostní společnosti. Zároveň je vysvětlena příčina potřeby změnit přístup lidí ke vzdělávání jako k jednorázovému systému posazeného do školních lavic. Dále práce přináší informace o postoji a podpoře investic do lidského kapitálu na úrovni členských zemí OECD a EU. Jsou představeny základní oblasti podpory, dlouhodobé strategie a zásadní dokumenty. Současně jsou zmíněny již zrealizované projekty podporující rozvoj celoživotního učení. Kapitola věnující se České republice představuje vládní dokumenty a mnohé konkrétní operační programy a projekty podporované příslušnými ministerstvy i účast na projektech v rámci Evropské unie. Zahrnuty jsou i mnohé možnosti dalšího vzdělávání, které lze u nás využít. Stručný statistický přehled z oblasti výdajů do vzdělávání anebo participace na jednotlivých formách učení je součástí závěrečné kapitoly.
