Computer and Computer Games in Relation to Children of Higher School Age

In this work I am giving a point of view at the problematic of children in higher school age using computers. I describe both the positive and negative aspects that influents pubescent in the context of progress of information technologies. I focused on describing the term internet, virtual reality, virtual identity and the negative aspects of internet progress, especially cyber chicane and addiction. I dissected computer games - their origins, differences and description. Also I wrote about positives and negatives of playing computer games, and defined the term addiction on computer games. I described the specifics of communication through computers. I worked out the question how using computers for long time affects health. Also I made investigation at higher school age children regarding computer usage. I obtained the research data through questionnaire which had 22 questions.

This thesis deals with the financial management of the municipality and the evaluation of the municipality Těšany. Within the literature review describes the local authority in the Czech Republic and principles of management according to the budget. In the practical part is evaluated revenue and expenditure side of the budget of the village Těšany. The conclusion summarizes gained knowledge and proposed recommendation that would rationalize management of the municipality.
Testing Young English Language Learners

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of testing young learners in English. The thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with testing as one form of assessment. Language skills and subskills are studied and Cambridge Young Learners English Tests are described there in detail. This part also tries to find out the answers to essential questions concerning testing. The practical part investigates how the preparation before CYLET tests and their taking influenced the existing level of pupil´s language skills. The second part also asks whether these tests motivate the students for their further development in English. The case study is based on a one-year observation, the results from questionnaires, and an interview with the teacher who prepared pupils for the exam. The thesis is finished by short essay titled: Why are CYLET tests so motivating?
