Bullying in practice: School classroom through the eyes of students, teachers and parents

The aim of the research was to present a dynamic and vivid image of bullying, an image of a class that is affected by bullying. This means to define the form of bullying in the class at the second stage of elementary school, as it was captured in two similar cases, its development and solutions at different levels. This also means examining the phenomenon of exclusion from the class team, finding out the views of students, parents and teachers in a mutual systemic and temporal connection. Observation and keeping a research diary, questionnaires, group and individual semi-controlled interviews were used as methods for data collection. It was a mixed methodology. An ethnographic approach was chosen as the basic framework for this research, where the researcher was attending 2 elementary schools for one school year. The results of the research showed how essential is the correct qualification of what is happening in the classroom, resp. confessing something, as it really is, is a better option than fogging up and pretending that things are ok. Differences in drawing of preschool children depending on their school maturity

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare drawings of school mature and immature children. These drawings should differ in certain features. The group of children was divided by the expert into two parts - children mature and immature. The division was made on the base of psychological screening. These children were called by the author to paint two drawing - a tree and drawing of free theme (the drawing of a man was undertaken from their Kern Jirasek's School Maturity Test). On the basis of the literature analysis, the criteria for the evaluation of these drawings (including both graphomotorics and cognitive aspects) were choosed. The main theme of the research concerns the evaluation of the drawings of children of both groups. The main output of the thesis is a comparison of the two groups of children, the description of the main features of the drawings of school-mature and immature children and the estimating the fact, that the drawings are consistent with the psychological screening examination. Motivation to perform foster care for a temporary period

This thesis deals with the motivation to foster care for a temporary period. The purpose of this study is to describe the current status of foster care for a temporary period and detection the motives that lead people to perform foster care for a temporary period. The theoretical part focuses on motivation in the beginning. Then it is focused on foster care for a temporary period in the foster care system in Czech Republic, whole process of foster care for a temporary period and the reasons for foundantion this institute (attachment and psychological deprivation). The practical part includes qualitative research through semi-structured interview. The interviews are focused at mapping the important data of family and personal history of respondents, their motivation and experiences with foster care for a temporary time and life satisfaction. The results of the research show, that motives can be divided according to whether they are present at the beginning of the foster care for a temporary period or during foster care. The main motive is present in both cases. The results show that the main motive is to achieve meaningfulness (by helping children), which can have a direct impact on improving the quality of life. Volunteerism in the fieldwork with drug users - a proposal of a volunteerism concept for streetwork

Main topic of this diploma thesis is a creation of conception of volunteerism in the section Streetwork, which provides services of tertiary prevention for drug consumers, field programs. First section deals generally with the phenomena of volunteerism in Czech Republic. There are briefly described history, motives for volunteer work and legislative framework. This part of work is in detail focused on possibilities and conditions of accreditation. In the end of this section, there is mentioned a theoretical basis of supervision of volunteers. Second section called "Terénní programy" provides a view of services, which volunteers in the particular organization perform. We can find here general information about field work but also a detailed description of services in the organization. Third section is devoted to the creation of volunteer conception in the section Streetwork in the particular organization. Chapters 1 - 3 are focused on a gradual specification of the work target, used methods, i.e. on the enquiry of opinions on volunteerism in the whole organization, and diagnostic of the section Streetwork. Novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the differences between the novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management, such as lesson planning, students' motivation, dealing with indiscipline or teaching methods. Furthermore, the thesis analyses the way of how the novice teachers perceive their career starts and professional development in comparison to expert teachers. The theoretical part elaborates on various concepts and theories which are concerned with the definition of novice and expert teachers, as well as with the teachers' advancement. The theoretical part also captures contrasts in the various aspects of class work between the two mentioned groups. The empirical part is focused on the investigation of novice and expert teachers' way of perspective of classroom teaching and management, career starts and professional development. The results of the research are connected and compared with the knowledge as stated on the theoretical part of this thesis.
