The subject of the thesis is to analyze the current state of company’s purchasing strategy, leading to identify areas for improvement of company’s purchase. The aim is to draft a new purchasing strategy while focusing on contracts. Based on the analysis, the thesis includes a proposal to expand the portfolio of products with a proper product, a proposal to deal with the specific customers’ requirements and a proposal of implementation of the strategy just-in-time. Proposals contribute to the effective management of purchasing.

The master thesis: „ The Study of Optimization of Production Process“ focouses on optimization of material flow to manufacturing department. First of all there will be shown theoretical approach corresponding with the thesis area and we will introduce production system and portfolio of products. Subsequently a real project will be analyzed and author will describe deficiencies in this project and system. Thanks to theoretical approach there will be found a different solution how to define new system without deficiencies. In the end the author will make a conclusion of newly found solution

The final part then proposes possible solutions of the problems detected in the analysis, which would lead to business process improvement and more satisfied customers.

This thesis is further supplemented by a theoretical approach with potential applications in the actual operation. The result is then draft general technological progress in the transportation of goods from the factory to the logistics center using its own freight.

The theoretical part discusses general concepts of logistics and stock management. There are described patterns of production and its connection to the warehouse and logistics issues and more. The practical part focuses on a specific environment of companies operating in the automotive industry and describes its parts and logistics processes that are somehow related to the stock management. The practical part is also more elaborated on Aftermarket issues.
