Apostolic See in the service of church unity
Větrovský, Kryštof ; Szabo, Miloš (advisor) ; Valeš, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis, " An Apostolic See in a Service of the Unity of the Church", looks into a significance of the Apostolic See, which represents the highest legislative, executive and judicial power within the Church. It analyses a historical development of a performance of the papal primacy and it analyses the importance and the purpose of a spiritual power of the Church. It proposes the question, which aspects of work of the Apostolic See are significant and constant and in what lays the reasoning of the power of the Apostolic See over the whole Church. For this reason the thesis analyses the structure of the individual authorities, which implement this power and their competence. The key attention is given to the analysis of the Apostolic Constitution 'Pastor Bonus' and based on it, it inclines to the conclusion, that there exist reasons for a reformation of the Roman Curia. They are especially based on a more accurate definition of competence and aims regarding parallel solution of more dikasterias.
