The cleaning of particles from library materials (paper, textile, and collagen materials) using a high-speed CO2 snow jet was investigated. The measurements included\ndetermination of the cleaning efficiency, and evaluation of possible adverse effects. The method was compared with nitrogen jet cleaning. The results showed that the CO2 snow\njet is able to effectively remove particles from the surfaces. Any adverse effects were not observed at paper and textile. However, application on collagen materials caused\ndegradation of the surface.

The aim of this methodology was to create a set of procedures and recommendations for library and archive staff or restorers, using which it is possible to remove dust particles from the surface of paper, textiles and collagen materials using the two-phase spray of CO2 snow particles in the carrier gas. The result is an effective and safe alternative to existing cleaning methods. Furthermore, the research aimed to compare the results of this type of treatment with commonly used mechanical cleaning procedures for library collections and archival documents and to analyse in detail the potential use of the new method.

The aim of this methodology was to develop a set of procedures and recommendations for cleaning materials frequently represented in library collections, using which it will be possible to use pulse infrared TEA CO2 laser to remove dust particles from their surface. The basic requirement is to effectively remove surface contamination without damaging the treated material. For this purpose, a threshold irradiation intensity is established at which the ablation of the surface dirt begins and a threshold irradiation intensity at which the degradation of the library materials. The result is an effective and safe alternative to existing cleaning methods. Furthermore, the aim was to compare the results of this type of treatment of library materials with traditional mechanical cleaning procedures and thus analyse the possible potential of the new method.\n\n
Trusted proxy in SSL/TLS connection
Smolík, Jiří ; Forst, Libor (advisor) ; Lukeš, Dan (referee)
The problem of SSL/TLS interception ("trusted proxy in SSL/TLS connection") has been known for years and many implementations exist. However, all of them share a single technical solution which is based solely on the PKI authentication mechanism and suffers from multiple serious disadvantages. Most importantly, it is not compatible with several aspects or future trends of SSL/TLS and PKI, there's almost no space for improvement and its real use may spawn legal issues. After we analyze technical background and the current solution, we will propose another one, based not only on PKI but SSL/TLS too. Both solutions will be compared and general superiority of the new one will be shown. Basic implementation and analysis will follow, along with deployment requirements and ideas for future development. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The origin of air pollution on the basis of one year measurements of PM2.5 and PM10 at two urban background stations in Prague
Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Pokorná, Petra ; Rychlík, Š. ; Škáchová, H. ; Smolík, Jiří ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Vlček, O. ; Hůnová, I.
The particulate matter (PM) mass concentration in cities corresponds to the sum of the concentrations measured at the background stations and the difference between the city and background stations. For this reason, at high background concentrations of PM, the result of emission reduction measures is low. Most of the reported episodes of increased PM concentrations in winter in central European cities are caused by sources of local or regional origin from the combustion of coal and / or biomass for heating purposes. Improvement of air quality in cities is possible provided that causality is understood, especially when it comes to atmospheric aerosol and its concentration, sources and origin.\nThe aim of the work was to determine the origin of air pollution in Prague on the basis of one year parallel measurements of atmospheric aerosol at two urban background stations.\n\n

Pollution in indoor environment can cause irreversible degradation of materials stored there. The air quality in depositories housed in historical buildings depends mainly on outdoor pollution infiltrated through the building envelope. There are several strategies to control the indoor air pollution. However, most of them including reconstruction, which is problematic in historical monuments. Thus detailed information about indoor air quality and factors influencing it is needed.

Air Pollution Origin Based on One-year PM2.5 and PM10 Measurement at Two Suburban Sites in Prague.
Pokorná, Petra ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Rychlík, Š. ; Škáchová, H. ; Smolík, Jiří ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Vlček, O. ; Hůnová, I.
The objective of this study was to determine air pollution origin in Prague based on the chemical composition of 24h atmospheric aerosol (AA) samples collected in parallel for one-year at two suburban sites. Chemical analysis of PM2.5 and PM10 for elements by ICP-MS, for elemental and organic carbon by thermo-optical method and water-soluble inorganic ions by IC was performed. The AA in Prague air shed was well mixed and nine common PM10 sources of local, urban, regional and long range transport (LRT) origin were apportioned.
