Plagiarism detection of text documents
Lízal, Radek ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis introduces the definition of plagiarism, distinguishes the types of plagiaries which often take place in praxis and the ways of determining the suspected texts. The means of detection are essential; therefore a whole chapter is dedicated to those. For the detection purposes, it is vital to pre-process the data to reduce the demand factor of the program. There is a preview of some programs which are already being used for the detection of plagiarism. The following chapter introduces some selected indications which have been implemented in the Matlab environment to create a detector of plagiaries in text documents. The created program is described in chapter eight. The applied indications and the detector response are described in a chapter called Indications testing. The testing proved the quality of these indications. The results together with pros and cons of the particular methods are discussed in the conclusion.
Maximization of ECG signals diagnostic yield
Beháňová, Andrea ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the maximization of ECG signals diagnostic yield. In the theoretical section we deal with the physiology of the heart, electrocardiography, types of ECG noises. It describes some known methods for the estimation of quality of the ECG signal. The practical section contains two parts. The first one contains a continuous Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). It includes generating artificial ECG signal, artificial myopotentials and implementation of Adaptive Wiener Wiener Filtrate (AWWF). After verification of the correctness of the filter on the artificial data, we started to use real data from MIT-BIH database. The second part involves a segmentation process that divides the ECG signal into three categories: a signal suitable for full analysis, suitable for detection of QRS complexes and a signal unsuitable for further analysis.
ECG noise generator
Siegel, Jan ; Walek, Petr (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The signal of ECG is interfered by the noise of different origin.. Most common are powerline interferences, baseline wandering, electromyographic and impuls noises. Such kind of noise is undesirable in signal since they decrease diagnostic yield in ECG. For effective removal of noise, we must detect the type of interference consequently use its theorists properties for specific filtration. The aim of this work is to creat a technical tool - ECG noise generator. ECG noise generator is being used for simulation of signal with defined parameters and type of noise. This noise generator can be employed for the verification of techniques designed for the elimination of interferences or the identification of the noise present in the unknown signal.
Comparison of heart activity sensing devices
Babicová, Martina ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Smíšek, Radovan (advisor)
The goal of this work is comparison of heart activity sensing devices. However, an ECG record cannot be evaluated with the presence of muscle interference. Removing this noise is one of the needs for device success. The theoretical part represents electrophysiology of the heart, electrocardiography, various interferences types, theoretical basis for recording of biosignals including used devices and methods signal quality estimation. The practical part is SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) calculation. The Wavelet filter and Wiener filter-based wavelet domain are used to separate the useful and noise component.
Determination of Blood Pressure
Plch, Miroslav ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
The thesis includes a general introduction to monitoring and measurement of blood pressure of horses, the design of algorithms for pressure curve detection and the calculation of respiratory variabilities in mechanical ventilation under anaesthesia. The first two chapters focus on anatomy, on characteristics of blood flow and on vascular system. Then it deals with the measurement of blood pressure, monitoring of a horse under anaesthesia and it describes particular thermodynamic parameters. In the following part of the thesis, the methods of pressure curve detection are described. The last part contains the description of an algorithm designed for detection of pressure curve of horses in the environment of the program LabVIEW. The program calculates, displays and saves variabilities of systolic pressure, pulse volume, pressure amplitude, pulse frequency, peripheral resistance and vascular expansion from the detected values.
Adaptive filtering of ECG Signals
Nejezchleba, Zdeněk ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim was to test the methods for suppression 50 Hz noise with adaptive filtering. When using the general scheme of adaptive and deterministic scheme to suppress hum. The work is a theoretical derivation of adaptive algorithms and some examples of modeling in MATLAB.
ECG analysis
Heczko, Marian ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
The topic of this master's thesis is the analysis of ECG signals using wavelet transform. In the introductory chapters there is a brief description of heart anatomy, the emergence and spread of potentials, which evocating activities of myocardium. There is an overview of techniques used for ECG signals analysis and explanation of ECG curve diagnostic importance. Work also containts an ECG signal analysis common procedure explanation and different approaches brief overview. The main part of this work is an application detecting significant intervals in the ECG signal, developed in Matlab. In several chapters the detection procedure is described in more details and gave reasons for chosen methods. In the last chapter there is a preview of several signals as a result of developed application, together with evaluation of the tests carried out at the CSE database. Detector sensitivity was quantified over 99,10%.
Detection of QRS complex using leads transformation
Nerušil, Václav ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to become familiar with methods of detection of the QRS complex and the one chosen detection method realize by the Matlab. The detection of QRS is tested on a database CSE and the results are compared with other methods. The second part of this thesis is devoted to the theory of transformation methods leads and their use to increase the success of QRS detection.
Biometric fingerprint identification
Dašek, Filip ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
In biometrics we use distinctive physical features for identification and verification of identity. The most famous technique is identification by fingerprints. This technique use unique structure created by papillary lines for unambiguous identification. Thesis contains methods which were created throughout the years for analysis and adjustments of fingerprint. The algorithm is based on compairng two pairs of minitua and calculating transform matrix for correct alignment
