Information System for Management of Company Employees

Purpose of this thesis is to help companies in terms of managing their own employees including analysis of employees shifts using OLAP, thanks to OLAP analysis companies can find out for example total delays on employees shifts. Information system is created as a web application implemented in PHP using the Laravel framework with MySQL database. Information system functionalities are: employees management, including management of employees attendances, Google Drive management, generating various files in PDF format, viewing various statistics, employees ratings, shifts management, vacations management, diseases management, employees languages management, reports management, injuries management.

Testing web applications using detecting changes its appearance

The thesis deals with the detection of changes in appearance of web applications for com-patibility testing of appearance across web browsers. The main objective of this thesis was to develop a test library that could compare any of two web pages in different browsers and capture their differences not only graphically, but also numerically. Library uses public available tools for its functionality. The contribution of this thesis is in a solution that, as the only one from similar tools available on the market, tries to automate the testing process compatibility of appearance of web applications.

Component-based development of web application

This work describes the possibility of development web applications and focuses on component approach in developing components for CMS Wordpress. There are explained a component, component interface and component architecture, that were later proven principles of this content management system compared to another, component-based platform Eclipse RCP. In one of the chapters are explained the possibilities to create custom components and their subsequent deployment, which could be problematic under certain conditions. The practical part describes the specific use of this system on The University of Economics in Prague and its evaluation. In conclusion, the author proposes recommendations of contributing to improve the present state.
