Psychosocial Risks and Stress at Work

The diploma thesis deals with psychosocial risks and stress in work. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the definition and characteristics of psychosocial risks and stress. Furthermore, the legislative entrenchment of psychosocial risks in the Czech Republic and the European Union is described. The theoretical assumptions are concluded by the definition of psychosocial risk management. The methodological part is devoted to the quantitative survey, which is focused on the psychosocial risks of bank advisers of the company. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, appropriate recommendations are made to reduce psychosocial risks in the company.

Risk of Presence of Fine and Ultrafine Particles at Work Place of Specific Industry

Submitted Master’s thesis deals with risks of fine and ultrafine particles occurrence in the industrial workplace area of automotive production. The introductory part has been analyzing the contemporary state of art defining basic terms, qualities, ways of measurement and health risks involved with fine and ultrafine particles. Furthermore, the research deals with the legal framework based around fine and ultrafine particles exposure in the workplace and the management of work-related risks in general. The experimental part of the thesis describes devices and conditions of measurement in the industrial company. The results of each measurement have been presented with the emphasis on inhalant exposure. Technical and organizational measures have been proposed on the basics of obtained results to reduce potential health risks of employees involved in exposure of fine and ultrafine particles. Final chapter of the thesis concludes obtained results, findings and in practice recommendations.

Mam-Machina-Systems and their Reliability

The point of this work is to describe and analyse human and technical reliability inside a man-vehicle system. The reliability of whole system is given by partial reliabilities of technical sub-systems and reliability of a man like a human operator. Human operator influences security and reliability of whole system by his activity and servicing of equipment. It is necessary to monitor and evaluate this activity in the analysis of security of technical systems. By the evaluation of human reliability people come out of the whole probability analysis of security. Inside the man-vehicle system the vehicle is operated by the driver and therefore influence of human operator is totally fundamental for the total reliability of this system. Graphic fault tree model shows different combinations of equipment failures and people failures which can lead to the accident.

Externalities in Transportation Industry, their solution possibilities and related risks

The target of the diploma thesis is to explain the concept of externality in transport and evaluate the current state of the traffic situation in the city of Brno with a focus on the location Tomkovo square, where is in progress the construction of another part of a large city ring road. Externalities will be evaluated in the locality with emphasis on the negative ones and their solutions. Based on theoretical knowledge, the results of the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, a case study will be created with the current facts of the consequences of transport and will support changes and opportunities to improve the quality of life in the locality. The results will be presented in public administration.

Základy aplikované ergonomie

Tato publikace, která je určena pracovníkům pověřených k plnění úkolů v oblasti prevence rizik, shrnuje nejnovější poznatky z oblasti ergonomie pracovního místa získané jak výzkumem v této oblasti, tak i převzetím řady zkušeností ze zahraničí. Práce srozumitelným způsobem rozebírá jednotlivé prvky pracovního systému, hodnotí je, uvádí do kontextu s požadavky současných právních předpisů a předkládá praktická doporučení pro zlepšení nedostatků často se objevujících na našich pracovištích. Účelem této publikace je tedy umožnit zavádění ergonomických zásad týkajících se pracovního místa do praxe, upozornit na jeho podstatné prvky, jako jsou například pracovní stůl, sedadlo či pomůcky, a z hlediska pracovního prostředí blíže upozornit na faktory, které zásadním způsobem ovlivňují pracovní podmínky (např. mikroklimatické podmínky, osvětlení, ale i psychická zátěž a další).
