The subject matter of this bachelor thesis is the translation of a German travel guide Glücksorte in Leipzig on the basis of a hypothetical translation order, and an annotation of translation strategies. Glücksorte is a book series which introduces the given location (Leipzig) to the reader in an unusual way. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a functional translation with its function equivalent to the original text. The annotation consists of a translation analysis of the original as per Ch. Nord and the description of translation method, translation problems and translation shifts which were made in the translation.

This bachelor thesis consists of a translation of a German text and an expert commentary. The source text was the article 25 Jahre Friedliche Revolution in der DDR: Die Selbstbefreiung der Ostdeutschen von der Diktatur written by Andreas Trampe. The text discusses the revolutionary events in the German Democratic Republic and other European countries and the subsequent reunification of Germany. The commentary consists of an analysis of the source text, the translation method and a typology of translation problems and shifts. The aim of the thesis is to produce a functional translation and to present translation problems and their solutions.

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first part is a Czech translation of the German article Terminologie in der neuronalen maschinellen Übersetzung by Tom Winter and Daniel Zielinski, which was published as part of the publication Maschinelle Übersetzung für Übersetzungsprofis. The article addresses the issue of terminology in machine translations, various types of errors occurring in machine translations and the training of neural machine systems, the aim of which is to improve the quality of NMT. The second part of the thesis is a commentary on the translation, which includes translation analysis, translation method and typology of translation problems and shifts. This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first part is a translation of two selected chapters from the book Hydrotherapie bei Hunden: Fit und gesund durch therapeutisches Schwimmen written by Sabine Baumgartner and Sabine Zemla. The translated chapters explain what hydrotherapy is, which methods of hydrotherapy are used and show examples of individual patients and how they were treated. The subject of the second part is a theoretical commentary, which consists of the original text analysis based on the model of Christiane Nord, description of translation method, translation problems and translation shifts which were used in the translation.

The selected texts are from the guidebook "Leipzig and its surroundings" and "Leipzig - World city of music". The analysis contains the comparison between the two texts according to the analysis model of Christiane Nord. It mentions the translating method and process, as well as translation problems and possible solutions.

The subject of this Bachelor thesis an annotated translation of selected chapters from the publication Lesen macht gesund. Die Heilkraft der Bibliotherapie by German physician and poetry therapist Silke Heimes. The work consists of two parts: a translation of the original German text into Czech and a commentary on the translation. The commentary includes a translational analysis of the source text according to Christiane Nord's model. The commentary further describes the chosen translation method and deals with specific translation problems and their solutions. In conclusion follows the typology of translation shifts arising during the translation process.
