Motivation Methods for Students in Russian Language Textbooks

The thesis deals with the issue of motivation of learning Russian as a second foreign language at Czech lower secondary schools. The main aim of the thesis is to determine the level of motivation of teaching aids for Russian language for lower secondary school pupils in the Czech Republic. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part the concepts of motivation, motivation to learn and teaching aids for foreign language and their role in motivation are explained. In the practical part, three textbooks for Russian language teaching are analysed: Классные друзья, Времена and Поехали. The analysis is based on the criteria developed by the author of the thesis. The conducted research shows that the above- mentioned textbooks are motivating for Russian language teaching, but they have some weaknesses in structure, motivational aspect, clarity of tasks and content. On the basis of the analysis, recommendations for motivating students in using these teaching aids are proposed. The Evaluation Component of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language

The modern educational triad "education-learning-evaluation" assigns a significant role to the evaluation component. This master's thesis examines the problem of measuring knowledge, skills and abilities in teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL). The aim of this work is to study the structure and content of existing test methods in the context of the general educational triad and to develop the new test assignments for a summative assessment. The main objective of this study is to determine effectiveness of the existing systems of knowledge control when teaching Russian as a foreign language in a Czech audience.In this paper, we will analyze the existing test methods and explore the modern linguodidactic measurements and assessments of the quality of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The relevance of this work lies in the need to develop a better control of students ' knowledge in order to achieve their language competence. The practical part of this master's paper will offer the summative test assigments for the electronic textbook "Cultural History of Russia" (Getmanenko, Rozboudová, Vasilieva, 2020).
Assessment of Speech as Language Skill of Secondary School Pupils during Russian Language Lessons

The topic of the thesis is assessment of speech as a language skill of secondary school students during Russian language lessons. The theoretical part is dedicated to assessment in the process of learning, its purpose, functions and types. The next part involves assessing as a part of teaching a foreign language, following up with detailed focus on assessment of speech of secondary school students. In practical part, it is analyzed to what extent the assessment of speech during Russian language lessons in secondary schools is being applied, or what types of assessment are represented. Mutual relations of Belarusian and Russian language in Belarus and reflection of language situation in education

The present diploma thesis deals with the co-relation of language situation in Belarus and the educational system. The first chapter is devoted to historical relations of Polish, Russian and Belarusian in the period starting from the 19th century up to the present moment, to the country's language question and the role of religious affiliation in the choice of the language. The second chapter analyzes primarily the reflection of changes in the language policies at the turn of 1980's and 1990's, as well as the position of Belarusian in the educational system and the comparison of presence of both languages on all educational levels. The third chapter contains the description of the significant role of bilingualism in contemporary world, presentation of Belarusian bilingualism, as well as possible use of the thesis for various academic purposes. Comparison of Russian, Czech and English vocabulary in the subject area of skiing

The bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of the vocabulary of skiing between Czech, Russian and English. The thesis compares lexical units related to downhill, cross-country or acrobatic skiing. The practical part examines the origins of individual words, phrases, names of particular sports equipment or activities. Furthermore, the bachelor thesis deals with the complexities in the field of translation or the complexities in the field of researching the origin of individual terms.
